Anyone know how to customise the news bit? All I've got is 4-5 random stories if I swipe right

Sorry to ask a bit of a stupid question but on my iPhone 6 I am currently running iOS 8.3 with the iOS 8.4.1 update ready to be downloaded and installed. If I wanted to update to iOS 9 tonight would I have to do the iOS 8.4.1 update first or will iOS 9 replace that one?
Had the same thing
Update both
Older one first

For those looking for the news app; the previous posters who said it was available on US Region are correct! I too did not have the news app (I was on UK region), but as soon as I read this I changed it to US region, but it still would not show up. So I restarted my phone (holding down lock and home button) and there it was. Right on my home screen. Hope this helps.

As a side note, loving that all news are in one app now. I have deleted all my hundreds of previous apps which I had on my phone; just using this news app now.

So should there be an app called "news" then? Or is news just the screen you get when swiping right? Because that's all I've got here. Still don't know how to customise it to my liking?

On EE by any chance? If you're running 9.1 beta which it seems you are, then you wouldn't have gotten the fixes to the high CPU usage bug that's in iOS 9.

Mine is as well. Don't know if this is anything to do with iOS 9 but I unplugged my phone fully charged at 100% at 11:45pm last night before i went to bed and nearly 8 hours later, it's only gone down to 98% - and hasn't melted due to overheating of course

Anyone know where the setting is so that when I clear my browsing history in iOS9 it DOESN'T delete all my passwords and usernames at the same time?

If I've done a random search for a specific thing, I want to be able to delete that history, I dont expect it to delete all my usernames and passwords too.

Never did it before and its rather annoying now.

Thanks.

Isn't that what Keychain is for?
Delete history, go to say Digital Spy and when you touch the username box select Autofill.

Anyone had any issues with their backups since updating? I did an iCloud backup of my phone just before updating and it was about 13gb, just looked this morning and it now says 0 bytes (reflected in my available space) and if i try to do it manually I don't get the option and the estimated next backup size is 55gb! Also I had a message over night saying my bank card Apple Pay had been cancelled and if I hadn't requested it to call them
Never had any probs with updates before

This change was introduced in iOS 8 and it is a bit annoying. You used to be able to delete the history and keep cookies, saved passwords etc, which is what you would expect. Now you have to delete all or nothing. But as I say, this isn't new with iOS 9.

If you only want to delete single entries, you can by swiping left on the entry in the history list.

Yes it is on EE. I'll connect to iTunes and see if iOS 9 is available there. Thanks. Just checked iTunes and it says iOS 9.1 is up to date. No iOS 9 available to download.

obviously early days yet I guess but I'm using safari out and about on a 3G connection and it's absolutely flying. the speed is unreal - obviously because the crystal plugin must be eating all the ads first.

I was planning to keep opera mini for a while just in case I had any problems but at this rate, I can see me deleting it before the end of the day.

Really? Well last night when I was clearing history on 8.2 or whatever it had got up to, it wasn't deleting all my cookies and saved passwords but lo and behold, since iOS9, it is.

As you're on 9.1, it won't offer 9.0. You'll have to download iOS 9 GM from a site such as iMZDL and restore the phone. Remember to back it up first

Will the beta finally end and revert to the iOS 9 release shortly?
