You dont have to restore if on the 9.1 beta, download the 9.0 ipsw, open up itunes, hold down shift and hit update, find 9.0 ipsw and it'll downgrade.

Strange i know but people were reporting it on macrumours last night and i give it a go and it worked, all data/apps/music etc etc are intact.

Here is the post
http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/...#post-21867945

Give it try, obviously back up and what not.
I can confirm this does work, it's the way I downgraded my Air 2 from 9.1 when I had bad battery life.

Anyone having awful battery life?

I would get 4 hours 30 mins usage for 50% battery on iOS 8.

In the past two days after a fresh restore I've average 2 hours 30 minutes usage for 50%. I've lost 2 hours

I had battery problems on the betas, but assumed because it was a beta. It seemed to be okay on wifi, but on cellular was awful.

Any ideas what I can try? As I say this was a fresh install, manually resynced apps etc.

Has anyone else seen weird spotlight search going ons?
Sometimes displaying whole weaths of info and other times I'm lucky if it searches for one of the apps. It's a shame there seems to be bugs at the moment

Was also under the impression if would search through content in apps and apps not even installed. Yet to find this happen once, let's hope it's on its way, could drastically differ how we search the Web

.
Not personally.

HOWEVER on most IOS updates in the past the battery life noticeably improved over the first few days and/or after a full charge - presumably as the new OS self-calibrated.

I think there is a battery drain problem when calls on other devices and Keychain are switched on. I turned them off and it seems to have fixed my rapid battery drain problem.

Oh dear, looks like iOS 9 has bugged my iPhone 6 then. I'm so sorry I done the update now, I should have stayed with iOS 8.3
You may need to do a restore.
Back up your content and restore from backup. If still not working you may need to restore new and not from backup

According to reputable sites Apple are still digitally signing (and thus allowing) 8.4.1 installs on all devices - this is normal for about 48 hours after an upgrade.

HOWEVER an IOS 9 backup will refuse to install on an earlier OS. Any 8.4.1 (or earlier) backup would be OK.

The opposite actually. 19 hours after charging and i've still got 40% left on my 5s. Had a solid 4 and a half hours of use so far with lots of music listening, internet use, calls and games as well.

Potentially could last well over a day at this rate as i doubt i'll be using the phone much tonight.

Battery life on my iPhone 6 seems abit better than 8.4, currently I'm at 2hrs 55mins usage and 20hrs 6mins standby and I've still got 53% battery left, so I'm happy with that!

Same here. I have only had my iPhone 6 since sunday but every day it has been below 10% by the end of the work day. Today I watched BBC news in the morning for 15 minutes (which I don't usually do) and generally used my phone as normal (perhaps a little less as it was a busy day) and it still has 55% at this moment. It wasn't even fully charged this morning!

I've just installed it. It is the best iOS so far in my opinion. The best feature are ad blocker apps that finally became available and it works great. Safari is much faster and smoother without loading ads. The keyboard not being in all capital letters anymore is a bit odd at first. Booting and powering off is significantly faster and smoother too. All in all, I'm a very happy with making an update.

"As evidenced at WWDC, Apple is trying to pull iPhone and iPad users off the web. It wants you to read, watch, search, and listen in its Apple-certified walled gardens known as apps. It makes apps, it approves apps, and it profits from apps. But, for its plan to work, the company will need those entertainers and publishers to funnel their content to where Apple wants it to be. As the company makes strategic moves to devalue the web in favor of apps, those content creators dependent on ads to stay afloat may be forced to play along with Apple
http://www.wired.com/2015/06/apples-...end-web-works/

But how will it blow? ( when that was written they do not seem aware that Apple News proposes to deliver ads itself and revenue share from news app ads,at least from what I read)

1Blocker is the only free one I was able to find, works good but people say Crystal is the best at the moment. It costs 79p. After installing ad blocker app, you go to settings -> Safari ->Content blockers and enable it there in order to work properly.

I didn't pay for Crystal when I downloaded it last night.

Seems like it was only free for 1 day, so i'm certainly happy to have grabbed it as a freebie but after finding out how good it is, I'd have gladly paid for it.

I'm actually probably going to buy it again and gift it to a friend of mine though as I can't imagine he'll be aware of it. I've got around £25 quid of iTunes credit I don't use so I might as well use it on something.

Was it free for you as well? You can buy me an Aretha Franklin album instead cause I already have Crystal.

I can't seem to look at calendar entries since updating

EDIT: I've just worked out that I have to double tap the date to view prev calendar entries, anyone know how to change this?

Haha, yes it was free but I'm not buying anyone else anything at the moment. I was going to gift a few copies of crystal around as i felt generous, but stupid iTunes needs to re-verify my account details - I guess since I upgraded to Windows 10 it assumes i'm on a 'new' machine.

So I have to wait until I've got some money in the account for the stupid card verification fee. Stupid iTunes !

I was just kidding about the Aretha album. I meant James Bay.

I've turned Crystal off and bought Peace, there are some sites that need to be whitelisted and Crystal doesn't appear to have any form of user control, Peace allows you to make a whitelist.

Interesting, I'll take a look at that.

I've always had keychain switched off, but have calls going to other devices.

Interestingly since I toggled keychain on and then off again earlier today, things seem much better
