Hello, anybody with a Galaxy S5 on three recently update their phone that activates VoLTE? Updated my phone at the weekend and since then anything outbound calls, texts and data fail, inbound works fine. The only short term fix is remove the sim and put it back in again, but problem comes back after a short while.

I have had problems with a couple of texts going out a few days ago, but everything else seems ok on mine.

I thought I would try sending another text message (usually only use Whatsapp) to find it would not send out, but like you say receiving texts it's ok (showing 4G with the horizontal arrows).

I then tried calling out and that was ok although it did drop down to H+ (3G) to do this and then stayed H+ for a couple of mins before going back to 4G.

I did try sending the text message again whilst it was showing H+ to find out it still would not send.

It's a bit annoying and hopefully will be sorted out with a software/Network update.

Hopefully it's happening to a large amount of people for three to notice and get it fixed ASAP. I've seen a few people complaining to three twitter support. I've tried things like turn off VoLTE and 4g but sms still fail.

Is this what those new 2 arrows indicate? Since the update yesterday my phone battery life has been shocking! I've been off work today so hardly use my phone and the battery drain has been unbelieveable today. Will turning off the VoLTE help? I don't need the phone to do this bh default, I can use the Three or Virgin apps or my landline if I'm at home!!

I noticed yesterday a text I tried to send didn't seem to go yet it was recieved by the other party, also on Three.

I was wondering if anyone that has a Three branded S5 can offer me their serial number for flashing purposes as I have by reading on the 'Three 4G Discussion' thread that flashing through KIES is very effective as opposed to flashing through ODIN as you would need the correct PIT file along with the Three firmware you are about to flash to succeed.

If anyone does have a Three S5 and can offer me their serial number, it would be highly appreciated as it is the only way to download the Three firmware through KIES. A PM would be the best way to send this information. Thanks.

The new 2 arrows does mean you have the latest update. I think they have just moved the arrows that are normally underneath the 4g/H+ indicators. I have seen people in the US complain about battery life with VoLTE turned on. VoLTE isn't something I'm bothered about really, making phone calls is the least important feature on a smart phone to me.
