Likely to do with Elaine and her toy boy. It's a three month storyline that climaxes around xmas and new year.

Plus the Lee stuff as well hopefully.

I think Elaine's toyboy story climax would be a bit disappointing for a big NY ep. Hopefully it will be Dean's exposure.

Yes. I love the carters and they are due one given they have been largely quiet this year.

We will see more of them next year i think.

I hope this includes all the Carters Babe, Shirley, Tina and Buster too.

As long as it spells the end of bloody Dean. Let him be this year's holiday death. He has to go. The way he's been prolonged on EE this year makes me itch.

Oh joy. I anticipate lots of topless scenes for our newest hot male...of course Linda and Babe will do the whole faux horrified thing.

I doubt it

Matt renewed his contract a few months ago for another year. So we will be seeing Dean until at least next summer.

Agreed. On top of that Elaine is a very unlikeable character due to being so overacted.

She reminds me of Jean but I think she's ok as an actress

I would like to see Lee's story take centre stage for a while

oh god no!!!

That's my new year ruined already. Bad start to the year having to see Lee, Tina, Babe, Shirley, Mick all taking centre stage. The most boring, tedious family ever to have graced TV screens EVER.

What is wrong with DTC?? The continued presence of Dean is like a Bryan Kirkwood specialism.

DTC's old boss axed him in 2007 after Phil Daniels (Kevin) decided to quit. There was a bit of promise with him in the summer of last year. But then he was turned into a dirty vile rapist. The way he lingers around just makes me ill. I don't like how they're trying to normalise him, dating Roxy and most characters not feeling even slightly uneasy around him.

I agree 100%

Im really enjoying the overall show at the moment but the continued existence of horrible rapist Dean waltzing around the square and deluding characters into believing he didnt rape Linda is really frustrating.
