Ainsley for SCD future compere
I don't know if it's been mentioned else where, and it may be too early to make this point, but I don't think that Ainsley as near future compere is a bad choice at all. At one point I was thinking that he was getting on a bit, but then again Brucie was older from the onset! Perhaps teamed up with someone as demure as Tess, I can see it working. He is fun, gregarious and has a flash of style about him. He knows the entertainment business and no doubt would put all contestants at ease. His job would not be to give critical input but to encourage contestants a long to do their best. I know he can be quite full on , but he has also shown that he knows how to 'hold it back' as well. What do others think?

After judicious use of the remote control and fast forward for eleven series, I now have no problem with the presenting team and would be happy for it to continue as long as they want it to.

Ainsley is a chef. He has been for years. He's made good money out of it, and his books, and his food range, and , and, and......
This is a daft idea ![]() It will never happen. |

This is a daft idea ![]() It will never happen. I have a Ainsley Harriott endorsed hand held blender. I don't know what he was thinking of putting his name to it because it rubbish. But that's beside the point. SCD compare material he certainly isn't. Beside SCD now have two presenters. |

Well someone had to say it. Would stop watching the show. Leave Tess and Claude alone. |

LOL Another vote to keep the presenting team exactly as is. They complement each other well, and nearly every suggested alternative that I've seen has me yelling 'Noooo!' at my screen! |

Ainsley wouldn't be the right fit for the main compere job. He's a bit too arch. He's a great presenter, but totally wrong to present on this show!

Ainsley is ok but only Anton can fill Sir Bruces shoes. |

Watching Tess and Claude at the filming of the launch show, they were so professional. I was very impressed. Claude is a bit weird at times, but Tess was fantastic. The BBC must be delighted ( no fluffed lines and retakes) and I cannot think why they would consider changing.

I'm not keen on the current presenters but......
Not only would Ainsley be wrong for the show, but the show would be wrong for him. He has made a good career out of being a celebrity chef. I obviously can't speak for him, but I doubt very much whether he has anything more than a passing interest in the show. Just something it would be very fun to do for one season and the odd Christmas special. Probably true of most of the participating celebs (just preempting any further Daniel/Peter/Carol would make a great......" type threads). |

Ainsley as compare? Please NO NO NO. Likewise Anton! Either one would try and make the show entirely about himself.

I truly hope Anton retires soon. He'd be awful too. |

Does Bruce wear those shoes with the really long pointy toes? I've always wanted to ask if their feet go all the way to the end in them.

And if they are furry?
![]() Sir Bruce only wears his furry slippers when he is not working, and thats not very often. I'm not sure if Ainsleys wit is as quick as Sir Bruces or wether he is able to add lib in the same natural spontanious way that Sir Bruce does. |
