I wonder if anyone has encountered this, system was originally 8.1 (still is recently) I upgraded this to 10 no real issues so downgraded it, I had a couple updates recently and to me it seemed to have switched itself off or went to sleep without plug, have had to put plug in to use it, so today I thought to do a restore, all goes well, the next minute I find out I am looking at a black screen - no login screen but the wifi is flashing, in the end and lucky having google/smartphone I had to do a system refresh (power button + volume down), anyone encountered this or am I the first? (good news is win 8.1 tablet is working)

Now you have got back to 8.1 create a usb recovery drive from control panel, recovery, create recovery drive. This is your last line of defence if things go wrong.

I suggest you visit this excellent forum dedicated to Linx tablets. It is not viewed by so many people as this general forum so it may take a few days to get a response.

Give me a day or so, and I will pm you with best way to upgrade a Linx 8 to Windows 10.

I am writing this on my Linx 8 upgraded to 10 with no issues.

Install Macrium Reflect Free and backup the mmc drive to a usb stick regularly, and you can recover easily if you get problems.
