Hopefully Sean Tully fluffs his lines up and accidentally swears live leading to his prompt sacking.

He pulled off the 50th well so I think he will be fine.

Did anyone mess up their lines in the previous live episodes?

I know, was just getting it out there.

Personally the live episode should have focused on Sean Tully, Antony Cotton deserves the opportunity.

No, they were all word perfect on the night. Helen Worth hasn't been involved in the last two live episodes and I've heard that she's often known to mess up her lines. I reckon she could be the one to to hit the stumbling block in the live.

How is that she managed not to be in either live episode? I think though if she does forget her line she will be able to improvise so the audience won't notice.

I remember for the 40th Audrey stuttering a bit but I can't really remember any other major mistakes in there live episodes. Of course EE have two of the most famous...Scott Maslen for the 25th and ''How's Adam'' for the 30th.

Corrie NEED a live mistake, just to generate some hype. "How's Adam?" Caused a huge amount of hype.

Is Sean in the live episode?
Yes he is. Antony Cotton posted which scenes he is in on Twitter. He's in about 5 or 6 scenes. Probably in the Rovers with Lloyd and Andrea. If anyone's going to mess up, please let it be him.

I remember in Emmerdale Live the actress who plays Betty fluffed a line but recovered. Apart from that I don't think there were any more. Corrie's 50th was perfect.

I expect Helen Worth to be in it but haven't spotted her in any rehearsal pics put up by Corrie on Instagram yet.

OP - Why all the fuss about a live episode? Have you never heard of 'theatre' where people perform live all the time and have done for thousands of years?

It's hardly the same as going out live to millions when you're not necessarily used to theatre acting is it? Not that it's similar anyway with no visible audience to bounce off.

This is a very interesting point about Helen Worth, boogie. She hasn't appeared in any of the live episodes but as a stalwart from the 70s she basically learnt her craft at a time when the street was filmed 'as live'. The actors only had one chance and re-recording a scene was very rare until the late 80s.

Pat Phoenix (Elsie Tanner) was notorious for going off script as well as forgetting lines so Helen must have always had to be on the ball. She has spoken about this in a number of interviews over the years. Her and Pat also had a range of signals to use if they could feel themselves 'drying up'. Pat would bang her hand down on a table or other surface to indicate to Helen that she had forgotten the following line.

I'm keen to see her in the live next week if she's actually in it. Probably the only thing I'm keen about.

wasn't there a mistake with molly/sally in the last live? but one they covered well

sure Corries facebook said there was 44 actors involved in the live so that must just be about everyone

I do think two weeks rehersal is not much but everytime I say it I am told corrie will do well so I will go with that

Oh I think Sally was in the rubble without a hard hat on which shouldn't have happened. Not sure if that's what you mean or a fluffed line?

In terms of rehearsal I think 2 weeks is plenty. You've got to consider that normal scenes get little rehearsal time and few takes so 2 weeks is actually a long time. The main thing is getting everything right logistically so that mics, cameras, lighting are perfect and everyone is in the right place to move from scene to scene. The actors will all know their parts well so if there's a mistake it'll be down to live nerves rather than a lack of preparation. Plus you've got to consider that filming of regular episodes can't happen whilst the live rehearsals are going on so that means only a limited time can be cleared for the live ep.

You've got to admire their dedication too. Most of the rehearsals are taking place through the night. I think they don't finish until 5 or 6am tonight.
