He's out of order - absolutely. Why should it have been compulsory for any of them to do the memorial thing. No one knew Austin's brother - it's ludicrous.

Absolutely. Feel some sympathy for Austin if he fees low by all means. But as you say they didn't know his brother. Unless they were close to his brother just standing there whilst Austin waffled on was meaningless anyway to the other housemates.
I really like him, he's a good housemate, but he seriously needs to know when to let something drop.

Ok personal tragedy for him,however the rest didn't know his brother,or him 'till a few weeks ago.His moral outrage was OTT.
WHY doesn't someone say the bleeding obvious! I.E. why should Chloe or anyone else have to toast a relative of a HM they've never ever met, in addition to only knowing the HM for several weeks. It's so obvious it was his pre-planned playing card to show how 'sensitive' and 'nice' he is, and the only way to revert back to the day and milk it, is to keep on going on about it.

I respected Austin for telling fellow americans Farah and Jenna a few hope truths but after the last 2 shows I think Austin is a bully and Jenna and Farah trying to control and win the show.

I didn't mind him until this memorial stuff. He's really ****ing me off with his grand standing and self-entitlement in that he expects all these people who are relative strangers to raise a toast and show respect for his brother. These folks folks will whore their deepest emotions in front of the camera to become relevant, i.e: have intimate surgery, give birth, have sex, chronicle their cancer treatment, film their counselling sessions, etc - is it particularly shocking that Austin would use his brother's death for air time? Not because he doesn't give a shit about his sibling but because he is your typical dyed in the wool, reality tv wannabe, it is normal to expose your own emotions?
Still think it was wrong that he seems to think it was compulsory everyone should attend his brother's memorial. Even deep, personal human tragedy is there for public consumption, which sits ill at ease with me. re Austins gesture to Gail in shaving his head. At the time I thought that was more of a token gesture to curry favour with the public. If it was a genuine show of solidarity he would have gone full skinhead. Giving yourself a number one is not putting you on a level with someone who has alopecia.

I find James pretty bland and quite in to himself, however, credit where it is due, I do like the fact he can say to his friend that his behavior is wrong. He does appear to have a caring side. Although I was screaming at the tv when he was in the diary room when he was saying Chloe should have gone to the memorial. Why does she have to??!!!!
