Hmm, I could have seen tonight's episode as being a turning point for Callum. He lost his temper and his son nearly got run over. He looked devastated and I could see that as a turning point in so much as it could be the beginning of a more rounded character who will always be ultimately bad, but has redeeming features, like Tracey for example. However, the trailers for the live show imply that he will remain same old pantomime baddie, so for now at least, I stick by my original prediction that Tony will kill Callum in the live episode and Bethany will be something to do with this

Hmmm interesting. Now that Max doesn't like him any more and with Callum shouting at him I'm not sure where he can go story wise unless he makes things better with Max. I'm not sure how he can make things better with his son. Did you see his teeth in the photo? Ugh, he needs to see a dentist!

Maybe he isn't dying and it was all a red herring.

Typo in the first line there. The word "boy" is superfluous. He's just a bad actor. If he stays beyond the live I think I might have to stop watching. He's being forced down our throats as much as Eastenders pushed Dean a few months back. I wish casting would be based on talent rather than who the producers think the viewers will find attractive.

I really hope he does stay but i feel like this article is just a red herring to be honest, i'd prefer for him to stick around and redeem himself. The worst decision will be to kill him off as even if he leaves in the live ep he could still come back further down the line. I just hope he doesn't die !!!

I hope he stays, his hilarious "hard man" pose is the comedy highlight of the show for me.

Must admit part of me likes Callum being there, but at the same time, I really want someone to smash his face in with a brick as he's such an evil underhanded nasty piece of work (though I will admit I did love Max telling him that basically David is his dad, not Callum).

I doubt Salfords finest would be arsed about his teeth.

I don't think Callum deserves to die.

The way the story has been going it seems like Callum is going to die. Maybe on of the Platts "kills" Callum, dumps his body somewhere then Callum turns up alive.....that is probably exactly what happens seeing as it just happened on Emmerdale and it and Corrie seem to be swapping stories ATM.

I still reckon Camp Callum could end up in Gail's manhole.

If he stays where does the character of Callum go?

Keep on being camp?? At this rate he'll be dating Sean this time next year.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz..

I think it's best the actor leaves. He'll probably end up on the BBC in yet another TV adaptation of Wuthering Heights.

Or something else Gothic.

Michael Parr who plays Ross admitted his character is camp so you have the wrong person.

I personally would like to see the actor in a non threatening role.

They're similar in many ways, but not in being camp Because Ross is and Callum isn't.

Who's Ross?

Can only find reference to a Ross in Coronation Street as a member of Peter Barlow's A group when Blanche was such a hoot.

Is more than one character not allowed to be camp at the same time?

No, they are talking about Ross Barton on Emmerdale, who I think Callum was supposed to be a copy of given how popular Ross became over a short period of time.
