Now that Kathy and Gavin SULLIVAN are in EE, do you think they could be linked to Dan Sullivan?

Anything possible, I think at this point we can assume they're unlinked unless said otherwise but it's looks likely that Sharon's father is Gavin, Gavin has other children we know this.

There doesn't seem much point for Dan Sullivan to return, although I believe the actor mostly does B type films, not seen him on mainstream TV for a long time, it's a never say never scenario, Dan was a good rival to Phil back in the day.

It could make a good plotline for one of Phils arch enemies in turn to be Sharons blood brother....

Were Sharon and Dan ever on the square together? I dont think they were, were they?

It would be cool if that turned out to be the case. Imagine Carol wouldn't be too pleased to see him again!

I hope not. Why does everyone need to come back/be put forward for coming back? It's just pure nostalgia, and I loved the whole Dan/Bianca/Carol story, but have no desire to see him back. Even if he were back, EE would find it hard to top the 1994-1999 period.

There are past characters I loved, such as Huw and Lenny, Binny and Della, hundreds of others seeing as I've watched since ep1, but I wouldn't want to see them back,

There has been talk of Dan coming back on here for a while. It wouldn't surprise me, but let's not be too fooled by the last name.

Huw and Lenny were a comedy duo. Huw was like Ross Noble wasn't he?!

Binny was hot.

But like you say some characters are best left in the past because I can't name ONE single character who is better in a second stint compared to their original stint.

Anything is possible just look at Vincent he was introduced as Kim's husband, Ronnie's ex-boyfriend, Donna's brother and an old family friend of Les and Pam. So Gavin being linked to Kathy, Sharon and Dan Sullivan would be no more contrived than that.

I think they possibly just overlapped? If memory serves Sharon returned shortly before Dan's trial when Phil was framing him?

ETA just looked up on wiki and apparently Dan's last appearance was 16th August 2001 and Sharon returned near the end of May 2001 so they were there together for a couple of months

But those connections worked well for a few reasons

Donna was a new character whose past wasn't known to the viewers so having Vincent be her brother wasn't out the blue or random.

Ronnie was off screen for a few months so her connection to Vincent wasn't entirely out the blue either as it filled in those gaps of what she got up to.

Connections needs to make sense and add up. Vincent's connections to the likes of Ronnie and Donna worked well indeed.

No real point in my opinion with Carol gone in a few weeks.
