If the reports/rumours are true then the SGs are getting back together next year -
Do they need the money ? (well clearly VB doesn't) I mean I can't imagine they have anything artistic to say, so it seems like they are topping up their pension fund while they still have the chance ?

It's a very important moment in the spice girls career and should be celebrated

I really think they should leave well alone! They were great at the Olympics, surely putting on a good performance for a massive worldwide audience should be their swansong, not a comeback with just 4 of them

They have to celebrate the milestone, it would be wrong for them not to.

Whether you like them or not, they played a big role in 1990s pop culture and whom paved the way for future girls groups like Atomic Kitten, Sugababes, The Saturdays and more recently, Little Mix.

90;s nolstagia is in these days.

They can't sing but wow they were good as a band doing the whole "Girl Power" stance. Even as a lad I was hooked.

I welcome a return, however I saw a Sky One performance they did in their prime and they were awful!

Gerri Halliwell - "Stole" a man and is now married to the millionaire?

Victoria Beckham - Fashion Designer with Brand Beckham and her 4 children. She has no intention of showing herself up again it seems.

Mel B - Blatantly in an abusive relationship who seems to be held back from doing big things.

Mel C - Where is she these days, easily the best singer in the group. I have a few of her singles.

Emma Bunton - The less said the better.

If they do reunite it better not be another stupid greatest hits, I want a new studio album with at least 12 songs and a deluxe edition with an extra 4 or 5.
And I just want fun, upbeat, light-hearted music with a modern twist like their original albums.

Well I do know that Mel C was on the road as a guest vocalist with Jools Holland's Rhythm & Blues Band and also got involved with the England World Cup charity single, a cover of "Greatest Day" by Take That (I'm Scottish, but I have to mention it! )

If its 5 of them sure, they are still young enough to pull it off nicely like nktob did

It would be a fun night out, full of nostalgia and a quick cash crab for them, no interest in any new songs and would pray that they would be selling meet and greet packages

They have to celebrate it how could they not. They were such a cultural phenomenon to let it pass by without being celebrated would be really sad. I'm not talking a big new album and single but:

Remaster the albums with b-sides some remixes and a nice big tour and maybe a singles boxset .

Whether you like it or not people still want them and love a spice girls reunion, as long as the fans still want them which they do then there is always a need to get together, you all may complain they only do it for money but let's not forget they are also really close friends too and like to perform as the spice girls. You can't fake what the chemistry the 5 girls have when together, all the girls are still worth around 10m each so you can't say it's for the money.

Massive fan of them back in the 90s but their last reunion ('08 one) was a bit of a cop out. Some things are best left in the past with the fantastic memories instead of a half hearted reunion. Maybe a few low budget concerts at Wembley / UK + some tv appearances for the 20th anniversary at a push but no for a world tour, album, greatest hits etc. I thought the Olympics was great place to finish, on a high note.

It's not very practical either, all have school aged children, various different career routes and Mel B lives in LA so even if they wanted to do a world tour it wouldn't be very practical. And that before you mention the feuds in the past (which resurfaced at the '08 reunion), the eating disorders and god knows what else.

It won't be the same without Victoria either even if she only sang a few lines here and there. The 5 of them made the Spice Girls and girl power and without Victoria it's not the same IMO as it wasn't the same after Geri left. It was always Posh, Ginger, Baby, Sporty and Scary.

1. No. they should never have been allowed near a recording studio in the first instance.

2. Yes. It seems there is still a section of the public, undiscerning and gullible enough to have money milked from them yet again.

Never got the hype first time round so certainly got no interest in them reforming

The bigger point for me is that I don't really get this need for nostalgia gigs. I still like some old songs from my youth and happily listen to them to travel down memory lane but I have absolutely no desire to see the bands I loved back then back on the stage, their outfits 3 sizes bigger than they were back then and struggling to keep up with the dance moves.
Let the past remain in the past and just look back fondly
