For me, I enjoy the more harmonious segments - one of my fave housemates ever was Terry Christian, he used to blather on about very little for ages and I could have just sat listening to him endlessly!
I love to see the odd friendships, too - James & Austin and Jenna & Farrah this series, Frankie & Michael Madsen, Jim Davidson & Dappy. I like to see people bonding, it's sweet! I find arguments wearing - especially as they are often orchestrated by BB.

What to others prefer? Am I in the minority?

Same - a little bit of friction is OK, but the way they have edited it over these last few years so it's almost constant arguments is boring,depressing and draining. I like light and shade ...... not all shade.

I prefer harmonious.

I can't be doing with the 'Eastenders' style screaming and shouting.

I would rather get to know all the contestants, not just the loud, argumentative ones.

I admit to enjoy seeing the odd argument, but don't like it when it gets nasty and cruel, as it has done with Jarrah.

I also like it when HM's get on and we see genuine friendships form.

To add a further category...... I like to see the HM's having a laugh and being funny. Now Sherrie said in her B'day toast, that she has never laughed so much.......yet we have seen nothing of it.

I voted 'bit of both' but the most important thing for me is that it happens naturally, not manipulated by BB, and is not too extreme or nauseating (like Kathreya).

The only exception is when HMs are absolutely not being themselves and it brings out the true character, like Chloe in Cashbomb last series. Unfortunately it happened too late in the series to stop her winning.

Ironically I feel CBB contestants are far more real true to themselves - however much it clashes with their public image or interests - than the BB ones, although they are granted far more privileges and so blatantly protected by the edit sometimes it's insulting.

A mixture of both. Ch5 seems to think all BB is about is arguments, they think we need constant drama every single day when we don't. This isn't what BB is about and Ch5 should have known this before they bought the show. Once Ch5 give up the show, i think it will be dead for good because they have left it in such a mess.

I like watching to see how people cope in different situations in the house, not constant bitching and fighting. It feels like every series of BB is on rerun these days, it's just the same thing every single show.

I feel like the type of audience like those that appear on BBBOTS don't help either, especially the over the top Irish guy who seems to get off on these constant arguments. I'm sick of hearing these people say "we don't want to see them having fun, we want to see them tearing into each other". Every time i hear them say things like this it makes it more and more clear that Big Brother is dead.

Boring, depressing and draining, these are good words to describe BB now. Usually i am on DS a lot discussing BB, but i have barely been on here when compared to past series. When it comes to BB i am completely drained, the constant arguments over the course of 3 series every single year is just too much.

Anyone remember the Sree Freddie and Marcus series when there was a task......all dressed up in costumes and a massive fight happened...it was hilarious

I like to see house that happiness, arguments, fun occur naturally, not this enforced them and us type house.

I just want to see a natural house. I don't mind arguments that have some roots in the relationships. What I hate is the deliberate whipping up a temper frenzy in the pursuit of some weird idea of entertainment.

Too much of anything is a bad thing...

Personally I love a generally harmonious house that breaks out into the odd ridiculous argument (think CGI, Rihanna's age, Jemima's daughter and her brush with death etc) because, even though these often get nasty, they're far more watchable for me. Those types of arguments are always really interesting in BB because they become FAR more intense than they would be outside the house, probably because they're living in a pressure cooker environment where they can't get adequate space from each other.

I usually like the sort of housemates who fare better in the more harmonious houses, too - the types who blather on, come out with some bonkers or really funny stuff but generally don't mean any harm. I'm bored of combative housemates.

I remember Freddie and Lisa arguing while both dressed as giant playing cards because she thought he was getting arrogant after having survived so many evictions

Too harmonious is boring, too argumentative is draining.

I think because BB on Channel 5 is so focussed on constant arguments, people have forgotten how dull it can be when it's too harmonious. Some arguments are absolutely vital.

Arguments are okay but only when they develop organically rather than taking place after tasks designed by BB to stir things up

Sometimes the costumes absolutely make the scene don't they. Charlie dressed as a clown screaming at Brian, saying he looked ridiculous.

The only trouble with that week was that because of Marcus and Siavash noms rulebreaking everyone was up for eviction. That in itself might not have been too bad but for some reason BB decided, just for that week to make it vote to save whereas for the rest of the series it was vote to evict.

As a result Hira was evicted with 5.7% of the vote whereas if it had been vote to evict the chances are that Lisa would have been evicted with a landslide.

Just a house where harmony or antagonism occurs naturally without interference.

The producers are now totally incapable of not interfering
