I'll only record strictly and watch the rugby live if the match (and the teams involved) interest me. As long as England, Ireland, Wales , France, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand are playing i'll be watching it live (and regardless of their opponents). But if not at least one of these is playing, then strictly comes first and live.

I've heard that women and gay men love rugby.
Not so much the game, more for the fit buff boys. |

I know nothing about Rugby, but I have recorded Strictly since they set on a wannabe ditzy presenter... plus I don't have to listen to the prattle between dances.

Is it worth pointing out that none of the rugby matches will overlap Strictly by more than 20 minutes, and in some cases not at all?

Am I right that this coming Saturday that Strictly is on at 6.15pm and the England Rugby match kicks off at 8pm.
So unless there is a weird slo- mo time vortex created by Daniel O'Donnell, I can watch the dancing then switch over 20 mins or so into the Rugby. Its Dr Who I fear for. Much as I like it, its going to get no viewers, apart from catch up. |

I'm not over concerned about Dr Who.
At last Saturday night TV is OK again. |

I still watch it, being a viewer since the mid 70's. As it happens Strictly is on 6.15 till 7.45 pm. Dr Who after till 8.35. So even if I watch BBC 1 till then can catch the last bit of the first half of rugby onwards.
