I am a huge fan of DTC, however, I'm mega - pissed at how much of a mess he made this character particularly because of the importance of having a Cotton on the show when Dot goes. Thanks

For DTC to ruin Charlie, Dot's beloved grandson, is unforgivable. Such potential wasted.

100% agree its almost like the pairing with Ronnie and mixing him with the Mitchells was his downfall, Declan had potential in my eyes.

He has been interesting for the first time since Ronnie emasculated him the last few days...such a shame that it won't last. I would have been interested to see this Charlie live on the square - he was much more like the character who came in it at first.

DTC has done a lot of good with the show but I have to say this is one of his lowest points for me. Charlie was such a great character and he has absolutely destroyed him. As much as I loved Charlie and Ronnie last year and thought they would be a great couple down the line Sam's breaks didn't let this have a chance to flow. Not sure what their plans are for him but it doesn't look good and so pissed at Roxy just now. If they kill him off then that will be a huge waste. Like someone else said think it's important to have the Cotton link. Even if it is off screen. Looking back it probably isn't really a surprise that The "Mitchell Sisters" will come out on top because they seem to be DTC's favs.. Even Dot seems to be sticking up for Ronnie over her grandson!
Suppose if something happens to Charlie then Ronnie will be hit with a huge dose of Karma at some point. Surely it's going to happen? Maybe Vincent is actually playing her in some weird way |

Apart from Kush, Lee and maybe Tamwar the other young 20-30 something male characters are terrible at the moment.
Charlie is leaving, having been completely ruined. He started so well. Martin is just a bore. Dean is beyond redemption. DTC permanently ruined him and he should be axed. Fatboy is a background character despite being played by a decent actor. I just hope Kush doesn't get ruined the same way they did with Charlie. His recent storyline with Shabnam has been very powerful so far. |

I think it was the panic when Kristian Kiehling couldn't agree about his contract and I think DTC was forced to re - write scripts because he wanted to keep Aleks and made the fatal decision for Charlie and Roxy to have an affair, this spelt the end for Charlie and it was a big mistake and I think when his tenure comes to an end he'll admit it. Thanks
I hope they leave the door open for Charlie to return - if for no other reason than because I like his relationship with Dot, although I find it unlikely that Charlie would just flounce the country without telling Dot like was suggested tonight. |

Dean is now irredeemable they ruined him with the rape to get everyone to hate him then trying our sympathies with other storylines of his.. piece of advice soap producers dont make an evil character then try to turn them around in to a awwww i sympathize character, they should not have gone there in the first place. |

He was a brilliant character right up until TPTB made him beg the Philth for help - then I knew that he would be destroyed just like all of the other strong male characters that come into contact with the Mitchells.
Ronnie cutting his testicles off was the final nail in the coffin. I wish Declan well. |

I really hate the fact they've tried to make him so boring. I really feel like they want us on Ronnie's side but it's so difficult. In fact that goes of most storylines at the moment; they seem to be telling us what to feel rather than letting us make our own minds up which is really annoying. I can't put my finger on it, but the feeling I get with most storylines at the moment is they just don't feel right. Yes some storylines are too long but that's not the problem, it's the way they're told.

I'll miss the pre-wedding crash Charlie.
He was great as first but as soon as he betrayed Ronnie, that was his downfall. I really wished they hadn't gone down this route. I loved him and Ronnie together. They really ruined him. He also became incredibly unlikeable afterwards and in recent weeks, he's been very dull too. I don't remember him being that boring or unlikeable in the past. |
