Does anyone have a clue what Janice is talking about?

That's it really. I don't dislike Janice but I don't think I have fully understood a sentence she has uttered since she went into the house? Some are totally incoherent. Others are of the type where the words all make sense and are in the right order but the final result is either random, nonsense or vacuous.

She's seems to formulate her speeches by quoting the blurbs from the dust jackets of self help books. Well that's my truth.

She does talk in terms of someone who has had a lot of new age therapy and read a lot of self help books.

I actually know someone quite similar to her (just in terms of the language she uses, emotional state, age and her interests), so I do generally tend to understand most (or some? ) of what she says.

The 'my truth' thing is a typical talk therapy thing, in fact a few things she says are.

I understand the individual words that come out of her mouth, but added together they don't always make sense.

I love her New York accent.

Yep me too - both points.

I do pick up the new age/self help quotation as sources but its as if she picks half a sentence from one source and a bit of a sentence from another and juxtaposes them randomly.

I'll keep this simple.

No.

Reminds me a bit of Gary Busey, he talked in that new-age/self-help "my truth" kind of way in his series of CBB too...

I seem to recall Gary Busey using it as a bit of a get out, though? I'm not sure he understood it?

Janice uses it in the way I am familiar with - that how you feel about something someone says/does is your truth, even if that feeling wasn't their intention.

I haven't seen her use it as an excuse, more of an explanation of her right to have feelings/an opinion, which is how it is generally used in therapy.

Then she should say "that's how I feel" or "that's my opinion" rather than "that's my truth".

Nope!

I have to question if Janice actually does either..........as others have mentioned it's like she's speaking from self help books. Does she understand them.........I'm not so sure she does, it's more like brainwashing to me.

She's certainly oblivious to everyone & everything around her, unless of course she chooses to become involved, & then it's on her terms only. She's definitely on planet Janice!

It is narcissism dressed up as virtue - a leitmotif of our age.

Imo she is doing a Gary Busey, just as irritating, nearly as easy on the eye and is hoping for the same outcome. She couldn't be as eccentric/silly as she is acting...

It's not only her words but her actions too like the other night when she was picking her toes whilst eating cereal in bed

No. and that's my truth.

Well not always anyway, but what is especially noticeable with American HM's, is that if they've been through, or perceived themselves as overcoming a lot, perhaps been in re-hab, or whatever, much of what they say are statements of affirmation, acceptance, reassurance that others are strong, etc. Most noticeable in Janice and Farrah, oh yes and Perez (when they're not balling - shouting and/or crying).

Definitely on some kind of planet. I think I can count the times she has made sense to me on one hand but never enough digits for the times she doesn't. What was that "jumper" speech all about last night .. no other footage in 24 hours they needed to throw that in plus the ridiculous deja vu debacle .. actors clearly unable to act.
