Why is it still a sub-category forum under "TV Shows: Cult, Sci-Fi & Fantasy"? What happened to having
this section of the forums promoted one level up, and put alongside "TV Shows: Cult, Sci-Fi & Fantasy",
around the time (and throughout the duration) of the series? Since we have the series 9 premiere
this evening, why has this forum not been promoted out of the aformentioned sub-category yet?

And while we're on the subject of categorising programmes that elicit squillions of posts ...

Isn't it time the mods created separate sections for the nation's favourite soaps? The threads pile up so damn quickly it's sometimes three or four pages in before you get to a post you only saw yesterday!

As for 'series' of popular programmes - as here in Dr Who - a separate sub-category for Series 9 (or whatever) would really help people find what they were looking for. It would also reduce the number of duplicate threads, innocently started by posters who couldn't easily determine if their point had already been aired.

Maybe the DS team couldn't be bothered or just feel it isn't worth doing that.

I really did expect the OP to just be: "its full of miserable shits"

Says more about me than everyone else.

Same, and probably . This forum was the reason I joined DS, and i'm wondering if it was always this bitchy? Opinionated and argumentative sure, but like on the thread where the op doesn't like twelve/coleman, it seems more like kids bickering than anything constructive.

Eta to be constructive/on topic: I'm not sure how the forum is staffed but they maypush it up on Monday?

"Discuss Peter capaldi's first series as the doctor"

Yeah the paint seems to be peeling off the walls of this place. ...

You're really not in luck. You will spend most of your time baffled and confused at some people's inability to understand basic concepts. Its good fun, just know what you're in for

Fun, yes ... but be prepared also for a high level of appalling grammar, spelling and syntax, which frequently gives the impression that English is no longer an important subject in our schools!!

Agree DW should not be a sub forum.

By law, a TV show has to manage 5M live viewers before it's allowed to have its own category.

That'll be why they're still discussed in the "TV Shows: US" category then.

Hmm. It does feel like more of a battle than a pleasant experience I have to say.
