No guys I'm pretty sure his participation in an E4 spin-off Big Brother series was his career highlight. He said so himself. "My participation in an E4 spin-off Big Brother series was definitely my career highlight" Brian Sewell

He will always be my hero for his disparagement of Tracey Emin..
On Tracey Emin The sane man must ask whether he should give any of this pretentious stuff the time of day in aesthetic terms when it seems that this self-regarding exhibitionist is ignorant, inarticulate, talentless, loutish and now very rich. ETA The thread title is wrong on so many levels. Brian Sewell was a very well respected journalist and art critic NOT a one time guest on a Z list programme ![]() Quote:

I've known about him as an art critic of the old school and then some, for ever.

I remember watching the launch night but didn't bother watching after that.
Is it worth watching? I know Bubble won.

Yes I was sorry to hear this. He was supposed to be a nice guy in person, however brutally he swung his pen.
No I can't find that one either. I suppose you'd found this? Brian Sewell's Her Majesty Another plus vote from me for BBCH. ![]() http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Exotic-B.../dp/B0000083CY Apparently there's four volumes of this stuff. I once heard an interview with George Takei where the interviewer concluded it with Shatner's Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. George started laughing almost uncontrollably and they faded out on that.

Apparently, when he wasn't being Big Brother, he had some kind of career as an art critic. Who knew! He is the fourth Celebrity Hijacker to die, after Malcolm McLaren, Peaches Geldof, and Joan Rivers. That one series now has a higher mortality rate than all 33 other Big Brother casts combined. Here is his episode of Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack on YouTube. Not just some kind of an art critic, but a real art critic who knew about art. Used to watch his programs on telly, and good they were. R.I.P Brian, look towards us sometimes
