can't tune sky into vcr
Hi, i recently moved house and thought if i labelled all the wires i could just plug them back in where they came from and everything would be fine but i can't tune sky into the vcr anymore
heres my setup: Panasonic Quintrix T.V: TV-AV1 to TV Scart on digibox TV-AV2 to Line-1 tv on DVD recorder Ariel socket - rf lead going to out socket on DVD recorder Grundid digibox: VCR scart to Line3/decoder on dvd RF out 1 to aerial socket on vcr Aerial in to RF out on vcr Sony RGR-GX3 DVD recorder: outside aerial to aerial in LG vcr: Aerial In to Aerial out on dvd RF out to Ariel In on digibox I think thats everything Theres a scart socket on the vcr not being used should i buy a double scart socket and lead and attach it to the vcr scart socket on the digibox? Thanks in advance Sandra |

Did you mark just the cables or the individual plugs? If you really replaced the cables exactly as before then maybe one of them is not fully wired and needs to be reversed.

Have you moved a long way? Is it possible thet the channel the Sky box is outputting on is occupied by a TV channel where you are now?

Sandra, your RF cabling looks a bit suspect. Also, here's a simple way to connect this lot with the minimum of fuss.
Scart connections - Sky TV scart ---> DVDR AV2 DVDR AV1 ---> TV AV1 (all RGB) Sky VCR scart ---> VCR AV2 optionally add VCR AV1 ---> TV AV2 RF connections - External aerial ---> Sky RF in Sky RF out ---> DVDR RF in DVD RF out ---> VCR RF in VCR RF out ---> TV RF in When recording to DVD or to VCR us scart AV2 (Sky program) as input unless you want a separate channel (say) on the VCR so select 1 (for BBC1) etc. Come back if you need more help.
