That's why he voted for Janice. If he would have voted for Jenna who he got on with . Stevie and Chloe would have voted for Janice . And Austin would have saved Farrah which would have seen Bobby evicted and James knew that so he voted tactically .

I agree. Passive aggressive way of doing it so he didn't get the blame. Clever but Jenna saw through it. Sadly some of the more ignorant posters disagree http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2106239

James would of voted to keep Bobby over Jenna any day, and they have no problem with that, its the fact he saved the wrong American according to Jenna, who thinks she has a god given right to be saved over everyone else

Bit of friendly advice Riddler I would refrain from calling other posters ignorant if you wish to stay on this forum.

James seems closer to Jenna I think he would have saved her more likely than Bobby .

To be honest if he chose Bobby himself he would have got the same result so his reasoning doesn't make sense. He chose Janice for "Chloe" purely to look like the good guy.

YES why is now trying to explain to Jenna so much as to why he didn't pick her he hasn't once mentioned Bobby .

James will crawl over broken glass to win a reality show . Get used to it because he will be like a leech sucking the blood out of reality shows from now on .

It's the only time I wish I was in the house. All that back biting and bitchiness is pissing me off! I'd call a meeting round the kitchen table and say my choice to save was a tactical decision and explain why. I was the smartest one to think quickly on my feet to make sure the person I liked the least got the boot. In fact, Farrah had two guns on her in that game; if James had picked Bobby, Chlovie would have picked Janice. But, it went vice versa, but still culminated in the same result - Jenna & Farrah still stood to be picked. And we know Austin would pick Jenna.

I'd also bloody say when Jenna and Austin would no doubt start kicking off about my strategy and not picking 'your friends' and listen to them moan on about their inherent rights in the house because they are Americans, and Americans are real ass, I'd have to say, ' you're preaching to me about tactics and the lack of ethics? What a nerve. You've constantly played the game tactically from the start and Jenna, you got caught with your proverbial knickers down on a couple of occasions for trying to influence the nominations. But you both lacked the insight to play strategically when it really matters. Therefore, you got f***ing owned on live national tv. Deal with it."

It was a win-win situation for James. Keep in Janice who he doesn't mind whilst kicking out the most disliked while at the same time saving Jenna and Bobby by default.

But no, he's sitting there playing the smug con-artist and playing the dutiful little grandson with his whimsical childhood anecdotes. I would have admired his steel balls had he just called it out to Jenna there, rather than pander to everyone as the go to man, the every man. Think he might have lost some fans for the spineless way he is dealing with the aftermath. Just tell it to them straight and **** what they expect from you, damn it boy!!

It was a smart tactical move - weaken Team USA. He wants to win the game and he's playing a blinder. Good for him!

He voted to get Farrah out. If he had voted for Jenna, then S&CJ would have either voted for ( Bobby or Janice). That would have left the other one of (Bobby or Janice) up against Farrah. If that was the case Austin would have chosen to save Farrah over either of the two above

James played a tactical blinder, to get rid of who he wanted to get rid of.

He could have saved Bobby though, and then S&CJ would have chosen Janice, meaning it would be Farrah v Jenna anyway. Maybe that was the choice he should have made and then no-one would have known what he was up to. Hindsight is a great thing.

He's nominated her before so I don't know why it is coming as such a surprise to people that he wanted her to go!

I do not understand any of this outrage. James would never have voted Jenna in a million years. Bobby, yes - I can understand people questioning his reasons. Jenna? Not so much.

This is exactly. Out of the four of them he had probably had more positive interactions with Janice.

Ultimately, with the ultra contrived edits, none of us can know

I don't get the outrage either - especially with people saying it was just a way for James to get rid of Farrah... Of course he would want her out. She treated him like dogshit since day one. I wouldn't expect anything else from James BUT trying to get Farrah out. I don't totally buy his good-guy routine either, but if it came with the added bonus of less Farrah in his face, more power to him.

It wasn't all that tactical because if James didn't vote for Janice he would most certainly of voted for Bobby over Jenna. Stevie and Chloe would of saved Janice and Austin would still have a choice between Farrah and Jenna. Farrah was going no matter how the dice rolled.

Farrah would have been out whichever way you look at it. I don't understand how this is not understood.
All that happened is that Chloe & Stevi saved Bobby instead of Janice because James had already saved her.
If C&S had to save someone earlier than James they would have chosen Janice and James would have chosen Bobby.

Either way Austin would have to choose between Jenna and Farrah.

Jeez......

Oh get over it. Bloody hell, i have never seen people get so annoyed about....well.....nothing really. He voted for Janice, big deal, if it wasn't Janice it would have been Bobby, either way, Farrah would still have been evicted.

It's not ignorance - it's a SO WHAT???? Farrah was a PITA from the beginning. What's wrong with wanting a more harmonious house to live in for the last week? What IS ignorant is people who don't expect GAME players in a TV GAME show to play the GAME. It's ridiculous.

What's more, your statement is only a surmise anyway, not the truth. No one will ever know for sure what the outcome would have been. Also it was all down to chance over the podiums they got. If the saved housemates had been standing in different positions, it may have panned out differently - I don't think so - but it just might have.

Only because people disagree on a point, it doesn't make them ignorant.

As for Jenna seeing through it, if she's that bothered, why didn't she fall on her sword and beg Austin to let Farrah stay. I am finding this whole debate about James' choice rather ridiculous. The poor man's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
