Apple ID
Silly question no.1
I have an iPad Air 2 I am getting an iPhone 6s Plus. Can I have two Apple IDs? I would like to have two, one for the iPad and one for the iPhone but as my present Apple ID is my E-mail address, I suppose I would need to use a different E-mail address for my second ID. If I stick to one ID, I'm concerned about iPad stuff getting onto my iPhone. I intend having two separate iCloud IDs. Thanks. Over and out. |

Yes, you can have two IDs, but in my experience you are better not to. You will end up buying apps twice, and sharing content is harder.
I have at least 4 devices one one ID, and an iPhone and iPad are used by my wife with no problems sharing an ID. You can use iMessage etc. with few problems. You can always add another ID later if it doesn't work for you, which is easier than the other way around. |

Many thanks, kidspud and Stig.
I think, perhaps, I'll stick with one at first and see how it goes. |

The only downside to using the Family Sharing option rather than just the one AppleID on both devices is if a subscription to Apple Music is made as it costs a little more. I'm pretty sure with a single AppleID option you can restrict what you want appearing on each device anyway. |

Warning : quite a few phishing emails doing the rounds at the moment saying your Apple ID has expired and then asks you for various details to reset. If you get such an email, delete it. If not sure, call Apple Support,.

Many thanks.
One ID sounds the more sensible. |
