I think Coleman worked well with both but ultimately Capaldi has been her Doctor.

I must eh weird but I've never got the friendship thing between 12 and Clara ... It's admitly softened this season and it was starting to come through a lot more but I can't help but think that was to do with Clara's death coming up

I felt she had much more chemistry with Matt's doctor than Peter's

Disagree, I think his next one will be his definitive companion, because he/she wil probably be only his(which is great)

Coleman is never gonna say only PC is her doctor..shes always says PC/Smith are her doctors

To be honest for all we know Capaldi's next companion might only last a series, he might leave after Series 10, they might be less liked than Clara or whatever. We won't know until we see them in ages.

Regardless of what people feel about Clara, she was with Capaldi's Doctor for two series. It does count for something.

Um, I've loved Clara with both 11 and 12.

With 11, it was an easy going, fun sort of relationship, but with an air of mistrust throughout S7B as 11 couldn't entirely trust her, due to not understanding how he met her before. Jenna was screen tested with Matt so they knew they had chemistry, but then they are a similar age, have mutual friends, and are part of the same "Primrose Hill Set" so it was hardly a surprise.

With 12, they picked Peter and can never have imagined how well they would spark. I've loved their relationship as it feels so "real", they have ups and downs, but their bond survived even when one overstepped the mark. I know some people don't like Clara's prominent position, but to me she's the nearest the Doctor has had to a genuine partner out of any of his main Companions (i.e. excluding River).

12 and Clara is nothing like 3 and Jo, but offscreen Peter and Jenna remind me a bit of Jon and Katy!

I would go with Matt and Jenna, for the reason that she was selected because she could bounce well off of him.

They were let down by poor writing though for much of the time they were together.
