Andros Townsend's girlfriend tells him he's been fined - and it's all Football Manager's fault

The Spurs winger was left in a momentary panic - because his other half didn't realise that Football Manager ISN'T ACTUALLY REAL

Many of you will have suffered with Football Manager addiction.

Many of you might even have got genuinely grumpy when your fictional Football Manager team lost a fictional game and ballsed up your fictional promotion push.

However, even in these extreme cases, most of you will still have maintained a basic understanding that Football Manager is NOT ACTUALLY REAL.

Well, prepare to have you world blown apart, reality fans. We are now at a point where a Premier League player can think he's being fined by his club - because his confused girlfriend saw a Football Manager screenshot on Twitter.

Yes, Hazel O'Sullivan - darts walk-on girl, Celebrity Big Brother housemate and the Tottenham winger's significant other - sent Townsend a WhatsApp message asking why he'd missed training and why he was being fined.

As you can see, Townsend's initial panic subsided pretty quickly when he realised his good lady had been misled by something that had happened in someone's game of Football Manager.

Amazing scenes, made even more incredible by two things:

1. Andros Townsend being a decent enough bloke to share this exchange with the world.

2. Hazel's response to Townsend asking her if she's joking.

"I dunno ??"



Not sure I beleive this, she didn't seem that dizzy in the house.

Dexter had nobody sussed, he wandered around aimlessly for a couple of weeks with nobody to talk to. Fancying Charlie and siding with Gina Rio saved him from staying in the shadows.

BBBOTS like to keep introducing him as a 'master game player', and this proves if you say something often enough some people will believe it.

I've never even heard of this Football Manager game. Clearly, Hazel hadn't either.

As a Spurs fan, to hear he's with her goes someway to explaining why he can barely kick a ball anymore after such an amazing start.
