iPhone 6 > iPhone 6s - is it worth the upgrade?

I'd say yeah go for the upgrade as the iPhone 6s is a much better iPhone and way more advanced hardware wise than the iPhone 6.

As a few members on here have said it's your choice whether "You Decide" to upgrade or not but mate what you have to think of is probably 90-95% of iPhone users will have either the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus come Christmas time. If the pre-order reports are to be believed the iPhone 6s will be Apple's biggest ever iPhone release.

I can't wait to get back off holiday next month and start saving again, hopefully I will be rid of my iPhone 6 by the end of November.

Must admit the Z5 does look like a nice phone and camera looks like it's going to be amazing (coupled with it being waterproof as well it's temping).

Also it takes a memory card as well (which is the main reason I would not buy Samsung at the moment as they are taking the micky with the prices of the phones with larger built in memory).

IMHO it is definitely not worth it if you already have a 6. Like the majority of s versions it is only a minor upgrade. You are in cloud cuckoo land if you think 90% of iphone users will have a 6s variant come christmas, there are a staggering amount of 4's,5's and 6's that will still be in use, I'd be surprised if it is even 25% have a new 6s variant iphone.

if you leave out the new processor, new co-processor, new TouchID module, new radio for LTE-A and extended LTE bands, double the RAM, new camera and new construction material, yes they are pretty much the same .

Shhh, some people just want to feel better about keeping their old model

I love how you have suddenly gone from saying that you will NOT be getting the iPhone 6s and was supposed to be "Happy" with your iPhone 6 BUT now the iPhone 6s is the best thing ever and you're getting one.

At least I can say 100% honestly that I hate my iPhone 6 and can't wait to get rid of it.

I would have been happy with an iPhone 6 (it just happens that the upgrade is worth it for me because of the amount I was offered for my 6), it's still an excellent phone, but it isn't the same as the 6s, and to say so just to make someone happy is wrong.

All I did was point out the differences, not cast judgement on either handset.

I just thought exactly the same thing haha. Odd.

I have a 6. I won't be upgrading as I personally won't see the benefit with what I use my phone for.

Somebody has said they hate their iPhone 6. Personally, I would avoid the 6S. As let's face it, they're not a world apart. Choose something that's totally different if you hate it?

As I have posted before I will be spending £600 on a 3D Force Touch screen as the other changes aren't a dealbreaker or something that bothers me missing out on.”

Is it worth the money. Only you can say. I say if you need to save for a £600 pound device that is slightly better than something you already have then my opinion is you can't afford it.

No one knows what the iPhone 7 will have so that is not an answerable question.

Why does Apple make so much money? especially for largely non existence upgrades.

This thread is all the info needed

Lol, hate is a strong word, what do you suddenly hate? The design, the user interface, the operating system etc?

I bet you loved it a month ago, so what changed? And why would you buy a device that is very similar!

Any chance of re-writing this in English as I've got no idea what you just tried to say ?

I love how you have suddenly gone from loving your 6, to now hating it since the 6S has arrived and now you cant wait to get rid of it.

If you hate your 6, you will hate the new 6S. Look and software wise they are absolutely identical.

I know 1000% that I would be happy with and "love" the iPhone 6S, as @d123 has clearly made out it is a big step up in software and camera advances than what the iPhone 6 is.

Yeah I did love my iPhone 6 as it was a massive step up in design, hardware and overall quality than what my old iPhone 5S was but with the BIG changes Apple have made to the iPhone 6S surely you both can see my iPhone 6 is nothing more than a flatter and 0.7" bigger version of the 2013 iPhone 5S.

Apple have clearly stepped up to the plate with the iPhone 6S and TBH looking at the software AND hardware changes it is a pretty much NEW iPhone and NOT just a "S" upgrade.

It's not the big a step up that you think really. Yes, its a boost in hardware, but its not a massive leap!

The point is, you do know this is only a phone right? I think you are being a tad obsessive and pretty childish over this... If i was like this about a phone, i think i would seek help...

iPhone 6S review: Apple's 3D Touch screen and camera improvements make the best better

iPhone 6S Plus review: Apple's super-scaled smartphone brings size and battery life to the mobile party

If you take a look at those reviews by Digital Spy you will see that the reviewer has said that they both (6S and 6S Plus) are pretty much new phones and are a class above the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

"Of course, if you're already an iPhone 6 owner, the validation for such a knowingly pricey upgrade is limited"

From the verdict, hardly a glowing endorsement for upgrade from a phone you hate.

The 6S Plus review also says "If you're already 'with' iPhone 6 Plus, this is only for the most die-hard of want-it-nows"

Which pretty much reinforces what quite a lot of people have said in this thread

There's obviously some people that want the latest and greatest of everything available, it's their money and they can do what they want with it. It still doesn't mean I don't think they're sad and brainwashed

Yeah, but every new phone in a series has more power and is better than the last (usually). It would be a hard sell if apple made the iPhone 6s less powerful than the 6.

One has to look at it objectively. My desktop PC is a 3 year old Dell Optiplex. It looks ok but newer computers look better, it performs ok although newer computers perform better, It has many nifty features although newer computers have more, niftier features. There is no way I am spending £600 on a new PC just so I can push the screen harder to make it do different things, for example. Phones are simply mini PC's and I think for all but the most hardcore of users the iPhone 6 is fast enough and full featured enough to last for a few generations.

I'm sorry to be a bit dim but that sentence does confuse me a bit like, if it's ok could someone explain what it means please. Thanks
