I Find Bobby Davro So Contrived And Unlikable
I know he's supposed to be this years Jim Davidson type character but I find him so forced & unlikable.
He seems so locked in to following Jim's blueprint of when he was in the house but it's just coming off as desperate at times. His plea to be saved last night looked so desperate & pandering to the viewers watching (save me & not the ugly sisters) especially as all the other housemates were magnanimous in their own plea's. And the condescending screechy laugh he does when he wants to mock someone is toe curling... even Sherrie basically told him to STFU on tonight's show lol ![]() I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels like this as he didn't make the top 4 Friday. He must have been disappointed that it's not quite working for him as he has mentioned several times how it rebooted Jim's career and that people will want to hear him tell all about his time in the house & his housemates in his act... Apparently not

Why does he laugh when there's nothing funny happening, and no-one else is even smiling ?

Now he seems to be clashing with (the popular) Austin it will be interesting to see if he does his screechy laugh to him

What I find the most irritating about Bobby is he continually takes about himself or will turn a conversation around so it's about him.

He's not really a Jim Davidson type figure is he? There's no 'journey' for him to go on. Jim Davidson, lest we forget, has always been a very controversial comedy figure - a figurehead for the non-politically correct days of stand-up, his material was often perceived as racist, sexist and homophobic - he was always very outspoken in the press, involved with the Conservative party. By his own admission he was violently abusive to his wife and of course he'd hit the headlines a year prior to his entrance by being arrested as part of operation Yewtree...
Bobby Davro on the other hand used to do Robin Williams impressions on ITV 30 years ago. |

I like Bobby, he seems to take it all in his stride and he stood up to Farrah/Jenna.
I'd be happy for him/Natasha/James to win. |

If he was American he would be hammered on here imo. He is the biggest stirrer in the house.

I find Bobby fascinating to watch. He and Jenna are the biggest manipulators in there. Well the biggest 'subtle' manipulators anyway, and that means the best ones.
Bobby is very premeditated in his actions. He doesn't really let his emotions come out. He sticks to a plan of how he is going to react to a certain situation. I think sometimes it doesn't work out for him and then we see cracks start to form. Someone said it on a different thread. He's treating his housemates like the audience of his stand up show. He's playing them, saying all the right things, not breaking the façade when they 'heckle' him, he'll provoke them to see a reaction from them to give him more 'material'. We hear 'it's only a game' from Bobby a lot. I think it's his way of comforting himself and give himself acceptance to try and play people in there. |

Bobby is alright. He's just a normal bloke who's doing his best not to take any of it too seriously. The American's don't like him be cause he diminishes their drama. They get so self righteous and indignant about eff all to be honest, and he brings it all back down to reality. They hate that, they want to grandstand and make mountains out of molehills and Bobby makes light of everything.

he is always taking over, hes always the one whining with trying to seem fair "its only a game, gang" after sticking the knife into the other team so they cant say anything, always th first one with the hip hip hoorays, hes appointed himself leader, and every conversation is geared towards the viewer and how it will look.,

I'd be happy for him/Natasha/James to win. Comparing him to Jim Davidson is incomprehensible to me. As for calling him a JD wannabe .................I really don't think so. Very different men - very different style. I hope Bobby finishes high up the rankings. |

He has always been the same. Like most mimics, they think they are the funniest people and that we are all sitting in awe of them waiting for their next impression. While we are all sitting thinking, "Who the **** is that?"
He was on Buzzcocks once and they just made a complete fool of him. |
