After last night’s volcanic eruption from Austin over a letter from home, James has just about had enough with the way the American housemate has been treating him. Could this be the end of possibly the biggest Celebrity Big Brother bromance in history?

They'll be friends after anyway.

For all the "bromance" talk, their friendship won't last five minutes on the outside IMO.

I really doubt they will be not many friendships and relationships last that long when leaving the house .

I really like James...I really liked Austin as well but he is coming over as a spoilt baby.

Keep away from him James (I know the house is small) but show him what a good friend you have been and soon he will realise what a fool he is.

Disagree...Austin can be a nasty bit of work.

We don't know what happened there. Apparently Austin had a go at James prior to that convo. So, we don't know what actually happened apart from the Austin/Janice thing.

I think watching CBB last night it looked as though Austin was ready to blow.

I think it has a lot to do with how he treats Janice. James seems to have a real respect for older people, something Austin lacks. I find Austin's behaviour toward Janice uncomfortable to watch as a viewer so heaven knows what it's like being in the house around it. I dare say there are other factors going on too though. It's coming to the end of the show and I think everyone is getting a bit frayed around the edges.

Since Farrah left, Austin has got closer to Jenna.

Austin prefers the bitchy argumentative self obsessed housemates anyway, being one himself. Farrah was just a bit too far for him, he backed away from her when it was obvious that the whole house couldn't stomach her. With Jenna it's different, he has a fellow bitchy self righteous partner.

James has always been a sideline for Austin, if they hadn't been put in the same bed on the first night, I doubt they would've had the relationship they have.

Austin likes to bitch and have his bitching backed up, so Jenna is now his favoured ally.

James mentioned that Austin asked him if he now saw Janice as a compassionate person, or something along those lines.

it sounds like Austin was making reference to James saving Janice....again. He needs to get over it.

That's how I read it. He's used his irritation and anger at Janice to have another go at James.

I don't like to think so, because I really liked their friendship, but it's being eroded by Austin.

I hope so. My Tumblr couldn't take it if they drifted apart like nearly every other housemate in history.

I think Natasha was totally and genuinely concerned about James.
In spite of what he said, I think he was close to tears.

Yeah, I think that's bound to happen.

I do think having respect for older people is a good thing, I think having respect for anyone is a good thing. For me, I don't think it's just Austin picking on some doddery old woman. He and Janice haven't actually got on from the moment she stepped in there and she's given as good as she's got. She's a pro, she knows what she's doing (The Jumper Monologues) and how to make herself look good. While I love Janice, I can't say I'd stand for her sort of behaviour, or the way she talks to people and orders them around. She's younger than my mother and my mother certainly wouldn't show that sort of behaviour or lack of consideration.

If Austin were my friend, I'd absolutely take him to one side and tell him not to loose his temper, that he shouldn't retaliate back and he needs to keep his cool. I would admonish him in private. However, I would always support them in public. James says here that he totally understands Austin's POV, but I think the problem is that when the other housemate either sit there quietly or tell Austin off for speaking that way, James will be very quiet and then criticise him in front of and with other people.

Even in Farrah and Jenna's relationship, Jenna always supported Farrah in public. Where she went wrong was not telling her off in private, but encouraging her actions. I think James thinks that he's going to look bad if he links himself to Austin if he's having a go at Janice. I personally thinks it looks bad if he doesn't. I'm not saying that he has to scream and shout too, but he needs to show maybe a bit of support. It couldn't have been easy for Austin to not get his letter. I'm sure he went about it the wrong way and kicked off, but he's obviously upset about it.

He's making a right tit of himself.

He's such a control freak, even worse than Jenna.

I actually think Natasha and James have a very real friendship and are more likely to remain friends after the show than James and Austin.

Isn't it obvious BB are trying to get Austin evicted before the final with showing all this negative stuff and everyone is falling for it. Janice is not a nice sweet old lady, she is an expert on reality tv and what works and she is deliberately winding Austin up, so don't feel sorry for her.

Austin, the American RTV star, of all people should know that Janice, the veteran American RTV star, is never anything other than Team Janice. They're both control freaks and that's why they're clashing and have done from the beginning. The difference is Janice is not allowing him to impact upon her (ie. she's not changing her behaviour one tiny bit) whereas she knows exactly how to push all his buttons and is frustrating the life out of him.

Hilarious to watch.

Maybe but how can we possibly know that. We've barely seen them together and in fact Natasha has all but disappeared from the highlights. We're onto the home stretch now and it's time to annihilate the only American that stood a chance at winning.

I agree. They are clearly afraid Austin might do well so are throwing everything at destroying that.

James was hoping for a bromance but instead became a babysitter.
