Kate Oates has revealed some of her plans for Coronation Street after her takeover.

One of her intentions is to have Anthony Cotton play Sean's twin, after he bumps into him while out shopping. Its not yet clear if Stuart, Sean's twin, will be a ladies man, or, pure evil.

She is also giving Liz a sexy makeover, Closing the factory and opening a supermarket in its place which will be run by Reg Holdsworth and Dev, Fizz is opening a sex shop in Dev's old shop, and a tornado will result in the death of a few other characters.

Finally, and possibly the most shocking. Brian Tilsley has been in witness protection for many years. Nick is going to be recast and Adam Rickett will reprise the role.

It was an MI5 cover up because Brian's stints working in Qatar and the Middle East had seen him become unintentionally implicated in burgeoning Islamist extremism in the region. Brian was involved in what could become an international crisis and the decision was made to put him into witness protection by the British security services.

Ivy was later kidnapped by Islamic terrorists who tortured her to try and make her admit that her son was in hiding. Ivy knew nothing of this and her continued denials ended with her being injected with face-altering chemicals and sent back to Weatherfield. If anything it's got bigger after Martin, Richard, Phil, Joe, Michael & Nicky have graced upon it!

I wonder if Brian will have aged as well as Gail

He might fancy his chances with Eva or Carla...

It'll be a Kathy/Ian scenario where Brian looks more youthful than Nick

When explaning it all the other characters will get confused and think Brian is Nicks long lost son
