Janice - little old lady?!???
I've been biting my tongue every time I read another thread in which Janice is described as a 'little old lady', or 'doddery old lady' or 'dotty old lady'.
WHAAAAAAT? Janice is just 60 years old. Even with the cosmetic enhancements, she's still very beautiful (in my opinion). I find her the most entertaining of all the housemates (and yes, also eccentric, egocentric and probably extremely annoying to live with. But little old lady? C'mon!!! |

Well her cosmetic enhacements have done nothing but render her, facially anyway, a grotesque version of her former self.
She looks old beyond her years. She shuffles around like "an old lady". Moreover, I find her eating habits/manners, totally off putting. *yuck* (Just my personal opinion of course)

It makes me laugh when she gets called that too, I always think that the person using that term must be about 12.

Her appalling posture & destroyed cosmetically enhanced/pulled face make her appear way, way older than her years. |

People beyond "12" can see for themselves that Janice does look older than her chronological years.
Her appalling posture & destroyed cosmetically enhanced/pulled face make her appear way, way older than her years. But anyway, I'm taking issue not with the fact (or not) that she looks older than her years, but with the words being used to describe her. I've not seen anyone describe Sherrie as a 'dotty old lady' or 'a doddery old lady' - even though she's eight years older than Janice. |

We'll m 60 and sherries is 65 neither of us look as old as Janice. She does look a lot older than her years, I'd ask for my money back if I were her.

I have to agree. She ruined her face. One minute she can look beautiful and the next she looks odd.

I like Janice and I don't think she's old, but she does have a tendency to do a little hunch back shuffle which does remind me of the lovely old ladies at the bus stop!
Also she does play up the 'old lady' thing herself a fair bit. |

How is her posture appalling? I've seen her doing yoga positions that a young woman would be proud to be able to do, and she certainly seems to sweep around the house like a supermodel at times!
But anyway, I'm taking issue not with the fact (or not) that she looks older than her years, but with the words being used to describe her. I've not seen anyone describe Sherrie as a 'dotty old lady' or 'a doddery old lady' - even though she's eight years older than Janice. Oh and btw, Sherrie carries herself beautifully. Alas, Janice has set herself up for scrutiny as proclaiming herself as the first supermodel.....she certainly isn't wearing well, facially or posture wise. She looks wrecked.

I'll say it again - I take issue with the descriptions used about Janice. She is not an old lady! And certainly not a doddery old lady. And I'd hazard a guess that it's this sort of cultural name-calling that fuels the need in older women to rush out and get facelifts and cosmetic enhancements in the first place. I hate it when people are pigeonholed into categories.

[quote=Scarlett Berry;79712346]It just is, hunched shoulders and a shuffling gait. As a supposed "super model" her walk/gait is risable.

And shoving her into that oh-so-easy category is neither true nor kind. |

I was also shocked that 60 is considered old. Janice would look better with a bit more weight, but her flexibility is amazing through the yoga, my back hurts just watching her.
She is a look into the future for the younger woman who have their faces pumped up with fillers and frozen with botox. And the lip fillers look awful when the aging process happens. Actually I think they look awful on the young. |

Janice has already indulged in facially cosmetic enhacements. People on this forum that are commenting on them should not at all be held accountable for work she got dpne prior to CBB. Not fair who, me?

She has wrecked her appearance with cosmetic surgery and as a result her whole appearance, and her awful posture, will draw opinions, and not all favourable. She has made her living off her appearance, of course it is always going to be commented on. She looks dreadful ..imo...and way beyond her years. Silly woman

Sherrie is no stranger to the plastic surgeon's knife. She's had two facelifts.
At least she does not look weird like it can do to some. |

Janice has rheumatoid arthritis - that is partly the reason she walks oddly.
