James: "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer".
So after Natasha suggested that James moved beds he responded with "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer". So James is playing Austin? If so you can call me another former James fan. I've met James before and he was great, so I automatically voted to save him when I could. But these past few days have put me off of him.

Interesting if this will be shown on the highlights as it does put a different spin on things sadly, this is coming from a big Austin and James fan, i love(or loved) their bromance together...
Having read the spoilers, I think the quote in context isn't such a big deal, really. |

I'v not read this quote anywhere it sounds like he's employing a strategy of staying close to people he's in competition with. I'm wondering what context could shine a different light on it or is that pretty much it.

Why don't you just read the HL spoilers or wait and watch the show, to then form an opinion?

To be honest, I think he's just a bit peed off. I do think he likes Austin, it's not part of an elaborate game plan. I do think there is a little bit of James that thinks that Austin's actions will make them both look bad and doesn't want to be tarred with that brush. Ultimately though, I think they do have an understanding of each other and maybe that's why they can get to the other so easily. There is a reason why they've spent so much time together, to the point that they share baths and beds everyday. As much as it seems that James is trying to disintegrate the friendship, I just think he's saving face a bit.
I think they're both hurt a bit by the others actions/comments. Hopefully they'll pick themselves back up and not fall out over it for too long. |

Because i wanted your opinion, specifically.
![]() I'm not going to write out the entire HL spoilers! I've no doubt you may see it another way which is why I suggested you look into the context yourself, particularly as you forming an opinion off the back of my opinion would be ridiculous. Pretty simple. Quote:

I think it's a lazy argument, personally. |

I don't think CBB has any real friendships and I think James shares my view.
I see it much more as alliances.

You've said: based on the context "it's not a big deal, really" I take it you're not willing to share your opinion on the context and how it effects your opinion. That's fine.
![]() I do object to posters obviously attempting to challenge my opinion with an opposing view without actually reading/viewing the context to inform their opposing view first, though. |

You keep saying this but the only people I ever see that mention James' appearance are the posters who dislike him and use it as a reason to find him fake etc.
I think it's a lazy argument, personally.[/quote] As if people are going to admit they like him because he is good looking. He is a complete bore who thinks it is ok to let another Man to blow in his here to gain some votes. Pathetic individual imo. |

You make it sound that good looking people make it far in BB. I need to introduce you to reality. Why don't you look back at BB1-BB16, CBB1-CBB15 to find that many of the people who have won have not been traditionally good looking, out of the ones that were, they were mainly women. So, can we assume that men and lesbians voted Kate BB3, Rachel BB9 and Sophie BB10? Please ![]() Refresh my mind, what "good looking male" has ever won? Can we all remember how badly some men have done. I remember during CBB11, Sam (yes, who?) was considered on this forum as the best looking male on CBB ever. And he was evicted 2nd against Ryan (from Neighbours). Looks literally means nothing. And how many times do I have to divert you all Twitter and you can see for yourself, his support is not about looking. In fact 95% or more of what I see everywhere is due to him as a person. Go on it and check!

I asked for your specific impression of the context because i wanted to see if it seemed relevant to your overall opinion i.e "it's no big deal, really" Is the context relevant to your opinion? Why are you objecting here

I have no view of the context, iv not read it, you know that. I have an initial impression of the comment but it may well change after seeing the context. My impression is that he's employing a strategy i.e to keep his enemies closest of all.

Either way, I'm not interested in playing

Good looking Males get a bonus for being good looking and it's perfectly natural for it to be that way, yet it is unfair in a game situation. It's not the only relevant factor though, hence why the bib is flawed.

Considering I stated "I think the quote in context isn't such a big deal", it's pretty obvious that the context is relevant to my opinion. So why would you doubt that and ask for clarification?

Either way, I'm not interested in playing I think what your eluding to here is that because iv inquired as to the way you've reached your conclusion, you've gotten a tad defensive and perhaps your wondering if i think your conclusion is based on blind support of James rather than context. I am wondering that. I'd love to hear your impressions on the context so i can make my mind up, alas, maybe another time.
