Would you like to see less murder and violence in the soaps?

It seems to be the norm and focus of all big episodes nowadays.

I would like to see less murder

Violence and murder happen all the time. I don't see why it is an issue.

Tbf if the soaps were ultra realistic, there'd only ever be one murder.

Seven. But they all put their bins out on time and have nice gardens so I don't mind.

No, because when they reduce violence and murder, they go down the light-hearted, 'comedy' route.

or secret mother or affair route

I just think surely they can come up with something other than murder as the answer to everything.

I think a balance all round is best. I also don't like them when they're too doom and gloom and gangster-y.

is there a lot of violence and murders happening?

I lived in a rough area in leeds for 18 months, there was one murder and a few fights in the street that was it. you never even saw the drug dealers get violent and they definitely didnt threaten or bash up the locals.

compare that to the likes of corrie, emmerdale and EE and non of them represent the same proportion of violence and murder

I don't really like to see it, Lea mate. It feels a bit like bringing work home with me, if you know what I mean?

exactly, because it always follows a set formula. I'd like the soaps to take risks and push boundaries and not play it safe an recycle over and over.
