Austin's the only one to call her on her antics, and they are antics. Such as right at the end of the show when James and Austin were having an argument and she just came and sat down right next to them. She cannot be unaware of what she does.

Team Austin here. I know he swears & shouts a lot but come on, put yourself in his shoes & imagine how you would feel if Janice did that to you & you lost your letter from home as a result. She did NOT do her best with that task - all she had to do with stay standing. I don't blame Austin one bit for erupting. Janice is annoying & selfish & she makes it worse by continuing to say sorry over & over again. The woman doesn't know when to just shut up & get on with it. Infuriating.

I agree with all that BUT it does not make it right to speak to a woman in her sixties like that. That was the point James was making, that he understood how he felt but did not agree with the way he speaks to people. Austin is a rude bully boy who has no manners. The way he snatched that letter out of Janices hand was aggressive and he needs to lose the petulant attitude or get out.

He's a fool about Janice, he doesn't think he can possibly be being played and he is, very successfully, also by Jenna. I am disappointed in him. |

If she's being a dick then she's being a dick and deserves whatever she gets. BIB 2: So did you not see Janice throw the letter at him Or is she allowed because she is in her sixties

I'm not denying that Austin is coming across badly but I can understand his frustration & his anger because Janice is infuriating. She's pushing his buttons. |

A load of morons are dressed up in sacks, told the world has ended and are ordered to stand on plastic rocks for an inordinate amount of time without moving or they won't get to read a letter later.... One of them gets off the rock and another one shouts at her.
I don't really have a point to contribute to this discussion.

re your first point, if that's true, then why is respect for your elders a universally accepted code of conduct in any civilised society? It's not 'respect your elders (but only the ones you like)'

Janice Dickinson has always been outspoken & controversial. To my knowledge, she is playing with a full deck of cards, so why should she be treated any differently? You don't see Sherrie behaving like Janice & she's five years older than her. So the age thing doesn't matter. It's the person on the inside that counts. Janice is no angel so even though Austin is being aggressive, I don't feel sorry for her because she has brought all of this on herself. Last edited by Feline77 : 20-09-2015 at 23:54. Reason: Typo |

What about Janice throwing the letter at him and starting the agression in that situation?
as soon as he started doing that, you saw a glint in Janice eye that said 'right that's it iv had enough of you' and that's when she jumped up and chose Austin. |

Totally agree. She's playing everyone, and she's not the slightest bit sorry. A master manipulator.

Didn't Jenna initially say 'I think someone should do it' or words to that effect. That's when Janice hopped off the stone.

I think there's a difference between unconditional respect, and respect that is earned. I know which one makes more sense to me. |

Yes she did. And after Janice did it she was in agreement with most of the others that it was no big deal.

I know which one makes more sense to me. I do give older people more patience and benefit of the doubt. There are generational differences to take into account. And the way he snatched the letter from her hand, to be physically aggressive/ intimidating like that was just over the line imo. |

I think there's a base level of respect that should be given to everyone, no matter how unpalatable you find that person to be. By all means have it out with people you have issues with, but there is a way to go about it,

Like I said before, you don't see Sherrie behaving that way & riling/provoking people - and she's five years older than Janice. Janice is not as innocent as people on here are making her out to be, and to use the age card is an insult to people of the same age who wouldn't dream of behaving like she does. |
