Not at all. I think the point some of us are making is that if you have a problem with someone whatever their age, there are better ways of telling them than the way Austin goes about it. He's just being plain nasty which isn't necessary.

If I have a problem with someone I don't speak to them in the manner in which Austin speaks to Janice, which imo is too aggressive and spiteful.

Ah, I see. That’s fair comment. I thought people were saying that because of her age she should be shown respect no matter what.

Thanks

I think at this point there is no way back for Janice & Austin - neither one respects the other so they're both out of line. Janice should not have jumped off the stone - it's as simple as that. It was always going to be a risk - the only way to be absolutely sure of getting a letter for somebody was to stay put. If she had been playing for her own letter, it would be fine to jump off but she wasn't, and she was always going to pick Austin as the person to lose his letter & he knew that - that's why he got so angry when she jumped. Who else was she going to pick?

I know he is coming across badly now but I do understand his aggression & frustration after what just happened. It can't have been easy for him to sit there while everybody else got to hear their letters being read out either.

There has been a build-up of arguments & issues between Janice & Austin so every time something else happens, the eruption is even bigger. They are never going to get along.
They didn't know at that stage whether they would actually pick the housemate who got the letter, just that they weren't playing for their own letter. So he didn't know that Janice was going to be able to pick him. For all he knew it could have been decided beforehand who was playing for each letter i.e. Janice could have been responsible for winning Natasha's letter or someone else's. He just can't stand Janice. He's horrible.
