Of course he was sobbing...Austin is also playing a massive game.

I think James has calculated that Austin's fiery temperament and in particular his clashes with Janice and Chloe, has made him unpopular with the public meaning that there's some kind of kudos for nominating him.

It's funny how the way Austin talks to people wasn't a problem when his ire was directed in Farrah's direction, a housemate that everyone knew was deeply unpopular inside the house and outside given the chants on eviction nights.

James has smelt blood and Austin feels upset because he genuinely thought the two had bonded.

Austin really believed he had made a good friend but James was just playing him, that is why he is so upset.

I saw Janice's "tears" i saw Chloe's "tears" well i should say i saw no fkin tears..... Austin should go into acting then as he must be bloody good not just to cry but sob too, he will be in demand as many brilliant actors have trouble crying, or i should say trying to cry......

If Austin had been such a good friend...then why was he talking with Jenna about James behind his back?

Don't get too upset. There is still a chance they could be friends after the series is over, HMs get easily wound up in house but they let the negative go once out.

Austin had tears in his eyes, streaming down his face.

Other's cry by burring their head in their hands and shaking their shoulders.

Could be Bobby, sounds like James.”

Think he is more likely to nominate Bobby than James......remember Austin is very big on loyalty when it comes to friendship, so I'd be surprised if Austin nominates James.....more likely Janice & Bobby

Of course he is, he will play on this for all it is worth, Austin cares jackshit for anyone else's feelings and has not done so from day one. Its all me me me and the same with Jenna.
Never have I seen such a deluded self obsessed pair of idiots. And the fake sobbing was pathetic....good lord is he really a grown man?

James is no businessman, even though he likes to think he is! He was a total bullshitter on the Apprentice and Sir Alan Sugar told him so! He has fooled a lot of people on BB, in the house and out! He nearly had me fooled too! If James was any big business man he would not have the need to go on BB, he just wants the fame and is no different really to Austin, just more deceitful!

Austin is that big on loyalty that he has been talking about James behind his back with Jenna.

Seems to be true.

Seems to be a pretty even split on here anyway. Half think it won him the game and half think it lost it for him.

His game plan was on public view. Vote Janice then pretend to stick up for her, same with Chloe. If they get evicted before James in the final it was to pick up their votes and stop them putting him up for noms. He knew Austin would have a go at Janice giving him the chance to get rid of Austin again looking like he cared for Janice , this opened the door for him to vote for Austin. This is why he could not explain why he had picked Janice in a way Jenna understood . Add into that a straight man that didn't mind sharing .
his bed with a gay man to pick up that vote which he needs to come out the winner.

His explanation of Jenna and Austin ganging up on him didn't wash either, they just asked him to explain and he couldn't say it was a game so walked away.

It is a game , but it shows the length James will go to in order to win. I would love BB to show them all ,James saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

James I felt had it in the bag but he may have passed that to Natasha or Austin”

They didn't ask him to explain. He wanted to explain, to get them both onside again but he wound up telling them a load of porkies which I don't think they believed.

They were discussing James saving Janice and not one of those he was close to, like Jenna or Bobby. I see nothing wrong with that, it would be weird if they didn't because both thought James a friend. James discussed them with Natasha. Same thing isn't it?

I agree, I think Austin will have nominated Janice and Bobby too, Austin might have that gobby, angry temper of his but he is big on loyalty when it comes to friendship it seems. He has always stayed good friends with James, Gail, Sherrie, Natasha and even Jenna!

I completely get why James nominated Austin in theory. If you think of people's behaviours in the house, James has had no run ins or rows with anyone in the last week bar Jenna and Austin. And people normally nominate people who they have had rows with rather than people they haven't had rows with.

But I didn't think he'd actually do it personally. I do still want James to win, but I am prepared for the outrage by the public when they see the HLs tonight. The only justifiable reason for most about the nomination is if Austin really had a big row with James before noms and went too far, making him nominate him

But if it was solely based on the last week, the public won't understand James' POV.

I see Austin is out of bed again...

1.23pm: Austin, James, Jenna and Natasha are talking about Christmas. It's not that time yet, surely?! #BBUKLive

The bromance served him well and was always going to benefit James more than Austin, But now he's positioned nicely for the final he's more than happy to let Austin struggle and show himself up to be rather too emotional and somewhat immature. It helps, of course, to ease Austin into his meltdown by pulling the friendship-rug out from beneath him, distancing himself with full awareness it's going to leave Austin floundering without anyone else to turn to other than the equally as duplicitous Jenna.

Meanwhile James gets to act all high and mighty. He gets lots of little opportunities to deliver vote-winning speeches about how he's needed mentors in his life, how lovely his grandfather is/was, how he treats everyone with respect (presumably discounting the men he assaulted in that pub) and just smother us all with his lovely fuzzy-wuzzy humility. Hey everyone, he's grown out of Austin now (that he's helped initiate his meltdown), there's your winner folks!

I liked James early on. I thought he seemed measured and a decent sort and the bromance was fun. But the last few days has shown he's really ruthless and more of a gameplayer than anyone I can quite remember in any recent series, quite prepared to throw his friend under a bus to further his own end (and I'm not just talking about the nomination, I include his major part in precipitating the behaviour he now gets to conveniently denounce).

Yes, Austin's been an arse the last few days. But his biggest fault isn't even his hot-headedness. It's that he's been unable to spot that the *biggest* manipulator in there wasn't Janice, wasn't even Jenna, but was the chap closest to him all along.”

This is exactly how I feel myself 100% about James and now we see the same bullshitter from the Apprentice come out and he learnt all he knew from being on there and has used it to his benefit in the BB House! You have written everything that I feel about James! He wants to win this so much that he will throw his best friend in the house under a bus and doesn't care how ruthless he has to be. What a total manipulator James is!!!!!

I am disappointed with James for nominating him, because I think it will devastate Austin, but if they are still really angry with each other before a nominations and arguing it would make more sense. I know people keep going on about how it's only 3 weeks in there, bla bla bla, but as we've heard from every single housemate who has ever been in the house, a day feels like a week. They are stuck in their own bubble which hugely intensifies everything. I'm sure most of them will laugh off the silly stuff they cried about in there when they come out.

I think we'll have to see how it all plays out.
