I comment on the show if you want, The lack of feed killed it off and Channel 5 seems to be way to much into that awful BOTS, meddling and silly features such as seconds you all ready seen.

Agree about BBBOTS.

I wish people wanted to talk about Sherrie... She's the only one who has made me laugh and the only one who has not disgraced themselves one way or the other..
I love her, perfect mix of ditzy and whimsy, and genuinely decent. And very funny. It's such a shame there's been so little focus on her.

I normally eyeroll past the very sickly letters from home bit but I thought hers, from her daughter, stood out for its heartfelt sincerity and it summed her up perfectly.

She's my secret wish winner.

It's been really inactive this summer. It was pretty busy during January though. I am putting it down to a poor series.

It was obvious. But you could have made the point just as plainly without resorting to having a dig at the OP. That was uncalled for.
The OP has been having digs at many of us now for the past 3 weeks now, so sorry if i'm not very tolerant with this person right now.

Post counting results are in... Are you excited? No? ...oh... Well I'm going to tell you anyway.

Last weekend between 10pm Friday night and 1am Monday morning there were 8680 individual posts.

This weekend between the same time period there were... 7851 posts...

In total there were 829 posts more last weekend than this.

Now... What have we learned?
Sooooo, it's not really as dead since Farrah left as the OP was claiming it to be then.

What digs for 3 weeks are you referring to.

Yeah, but it's not ghost town like the OP was trying to say. Farrah was one of the top HM's in the favourite polls, her fans are now not posting as much. Basically, that 6 or 7% dip is all because Farrah fans have stopped posting. The rest of us have moved on.

Accusing the forum of being Xenophobic for a start.

With all due respect what a lot of rubbish I backed Americans because I was sick of them getting hammered on here. I have been on here a long time and never been accused of anything. I backed you earlier but never again.

Like I said I'm enjoying the forum being slower in its consideration of issues and for me it's fast enough. The way it used to be was too much for me and I couldn't engage. I like time to discuss things and also like to get to know contributors a bit so I feel part of something. This year I have.

I think this series has GREAT contestants, loads of possibilities and has been hugely poorly presented in the HLs show and poorly constructed as a game. Merely USA v UK just isn't interesting enough. I remember all sorts of clever twists and games before - dividing the house, creating people people in small groups - so many different ways. This has just been LAZY and unimaginative. Whether this is why the forum is slower I wouldn't know but I suspect twitter has a lot to do with it.

Possibly Sega. I imagine with each eviction a small percent of forum users will drop off... Those who are fans of specific contestants rather than fans of the Big Brother show itself.

Of course in truth the numbers I added up don't really tell us anything, they don't tell us how many different people were posting, they don't tell us what they were posting about, they merely tell us that a certain number of posts within a time period were made.

You can actually only draw one concrete conclusion from the data and that, boringly, is more posts were made last weekend than this weekend by around 10%.

You COULD say less posts were made after Farrah was evicted and technically you would be correct. But you COULDNT say she was the causal effect of that. There are far too many other variables involved.

The only possible way to answer the Farrah=ghost town hypothesis posed by this thread therefore would be to go through that time period on the forum again and alongside the post count data I've provided also count the number of different forum members who posted during it, to see whether that too was a significant drop or whether there were the same or less amount of users simply posting less... AND THEN go through it a third time and count how many of those posts were concerning Farrah... Finally go through it one final time and ascertain how many of the Farrah posts were made by different people to ensure that actually the difference isn't just down to a small number of forum members posting a LOT about her...

...then do some kind of equation with it all.

...anybody want to do that?

Well I have learned for the second time that you are prepared to put in the spade work. Last week you transcribed large amounts of footage. This week you have had the patience and attention to detail to count the number of posts on the forum. I take my hat off to you. I hope somebody out there is taking advantage of your tenacity.

Which could easily be accounted for by something as mundane as the weather. This weekend was fine in most parts of the country. Last weekend the Saturday at least was miserable, grey and damp.
