Podcast is still number 1 on iTunes, anyone any idea roughly how many downloads that night equate to?

The new format is now speech with a bit of rock music.
Inadvertently suffered Moyles this morning. No need for him to comment about small playlists he didn't play a single track just talked to Tarrant non stop. No interview stucture absolute rubbish. Glad I won't have to listen again.

Radio X would suit tarrants taste in music. Moyles is nicking the old capital radio jingles like he did with the old radio one jingles. The only station really would suit Tarrant is radio 2 now, but he seems to not be used on there no more.

That is because his listeners want to hear him talk, It what makes it different to music every 30 seconds on Heart or Capital FM then repeated after a hour.

I used to say that the worst thing about his show on Radio 1 was the rubbish music he played!

I thought it was great with Tarrant this morning; the old XFM had loads of music at breakfast and the show and stations consistently underperformed. The Facebook Likes speak for themselves; Moyles is clearly bringing in a large new audience even if the existing audience don't like him.

Probably say that about Radio X nowadays apart from the fact that the music is maybe better.

I'd pay to listen to that

Scott Mills isn't Radio X material, he's good but I don't think mis music tastes link to X and I'm not sure his style would go down well, his/Moyles' audience were quite different, speak to a die hard Mills fan and they don't like Moyles and vice/versa.

Zane Lowe would have been a coup but that's not happening now, I'd love to hear Jo Whiley again too but she probably is in line with a prime R2 slot in the next few years.
Die hard Mills fan here and I love Moyles

Haven't heard any of his show yet, is there a big difference from his Radio 1 show?

All set for Patinum hour, so that's Pat Sharp and Chris Tarrant on this week, which ex Capital presenters can we expect next, Steve Penk, Neil Fox, David Jenson?

I dont think Neil Fox will be making an appearance any time soon, unless I missed something and he was cleared?

Someone who was cleared and a huge Moyles fan is Paul Gambachini, think he'd make a great co presenter.

JK works for Heart London drive so could come in, but doesn't Joel do Heart Manchester at the same time Moyles is on?

Chris asks Vernon what's your 1st record ( upbeat response Chemical Brothers) appears he's allowed to start his show with an indie dance tune, and then asks what his 2nd song is (Downbeat response, don't know probably Mumfords, Libertines or Florence) he starts his show and the 2nd song is Florence!

Not sure Vernon is that into the music, doing 1 day a week at Radio 1 or the occasional bit of cover he didn't notice the repetition, but seems to be getting to him now he's permanently 5 days a week at Radio X. Not sure if his long term future is with the station where he doesn't appear to be a huge fan of the music policy. Unlike Moyles and Vaughn who's show are more speech based Vernon's is a music show so not sure what value he brings, why not just stick Camfield or Jo Good in that slot and I assume they would be cheaper too?

How about putting Chris Packham in as well, not a DJ, but I'm sure all 3 would make radio gold

Other ex radio presenters who'd be interesting guests given their history with Moyles are Mark Lamar and Phil Jupitus.

I was hoping Pat would do more of the inbetweens and play less crap songs, maybe a bit more disco?

It's Radio X, apart from Girls Aloud on day one everything they play has to come from the Global approved and fully listener tested Radio X playlist. Which means Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis and things of a similar ilk, today's Patinum hour followed those strict rules pretty much alternative classics.
