Have to say am really missing Dave from the show. Had hoped their disagreement had been a bit over exaggerated and had been blown out of proportion but am starting to think its very deep seeded. No good luck tweet or anything from Dave to Dom or Chris, no mention or reference of Dave on the show today which considering they had someone else on the show called Dave, I thought quite strange. Also had a feeling calling the new Dave 'Madam' was maybe a way of getting away from having a Dave on the show and confusing people. Thought Chris had implied in his interview with the Sun that he had talked to Dave about coming back but he was too busy with his production company, though am doubting this and am wondering was Dave ever approached by Chris. Really sad that one of the greatest radio partnerships of our time ended like this. I hope against hope that someday they make up and Dave can come into the show.

Moyle's is at home on Radio X, I think its fair to say he is "bigger than the station" and so hopefully Global will treat him well for it.
I like the fact music wasn't pushed throughout the morning, I still don't understand who listens to the radio for "that was, this is" followed by generic music that's been played to death. Moyle's is a great talent and whilst alot of people don't like him, you can't deny he is good at what he does. Moyles is what commercial radio needs! |

Surprised the Cheesy Song thing is happening every day, I just thought it was a cheeky reference to the past for fans on day 1.

Tough listen this morning: Thing was the loose formula worked on Radio 1 as they had all worker together for years and knew each other's natural timing. They are trying to do that now after only a week of sitting together. This showed during the "Run in to other people's studio" bit. |

It's the same formula as before...... And I bloody love it. Cracked up at the Mumford and sons bit. It's like finding your old favourite slippers at the back of the wardrobe. This is going to effect ratings on Radio 2, Absolute and radio 1.

I thought that as well....

New Dave sounded like he was literally panicking when they were doing the running into the other studio and there were ads playing. I wouldn't say it was a tough listen - but it's not quite as well gelled together as before - but it'll come. |

I'm not sure if the new Dave is right for the show.

I'm happy to have him back, and impressed that they've decided not to fill the new show with brand new features which often turn out to be hit and miss. They've gone straight in and hit the ground running.
One thing though, I thought he might have adapted his act for the indie music fan a bit more than he has. It wouldn't be hard to do it without sounding fake; just stop referencing itv2 standard celebs like Olly Murs and the like. |

I forgot it was on yesterday, but listened this morning. Loved it! So nice to have him back on in the mornings. I hate grimmy with a passion so I have been listening to Paul Ross on Radio London, but i'm now very much back on board with Moyles.
Only problem is Radio X cuts out about half way on my journey to work. Im going to have to get a DAB adapter for the car... |

Like Pippa she should feature on-air more, she has a good on-air voice/personality - could see that when she went into Andrew Castle (Smooth studio). Remember her from the Greg James show too. Moyles is getting back to his afternoon peak, I always preferred that show to breakfast, it seemed less produced more off the cuff. Great start wish I could listen to all the show have managed about 90% of first show and 50% of this mornings, love that ads are quite show and don't have to be hit dead on time, funny the rough times from Producer Dave. Give Dave time I think he will come into his own, just needs to relax a bit. Maybe spend a bit more time with Chris down the pub, The drive to work seems much better. Any news on a podcast? |

Now a 2nd Libertines song. Is there playlist so limited that they need to play artists more than once per show? Also played Simply Red and Barry Manilow twice according to the Playlist on their website

Chris Moyles, cannot do a show on his own.
Needs at least three other people to help him out. That's not talent. Just like Chris Evans. Hopeless on their own. |

Moyles natural progression should have been R2 the BBC have lost out big time . I just feel Chris Moyles is wasted on Radio X it''s kinda like a director of say Tesco becoming a deprtment manager in a store. You compare even the Radio X studio it's tiny and they are all squashed in compared with R1, Imaging has been drastically reduced, his pay is probably 50-60% less, harder for audiences to tune in, he'll probably lose out on big talent coming to the studio as they will probably shrug the offer away and give priority to the BBC or Capital for that matter.

I’m guessing it’ll be a weekly podcast, so we should hopefully have one by this time next week. |

Jon Holmes managed to get good celebrity guests during his breakfast show run, why wouldn't Chris Moyles?

No mention of a podcast yet, but I’d be very surprised (and disappointed) if there wasn’t one. Chris Moyles Radio 1 podcast was often at the top of the iTunes chart, and XFM had previously produced a number of podcasts for their shows, including the breakfast show.
I’m guessing it’ll be a weekly podcast, so we should hopefully have one by this time next week. |

While I do think Chris's natural progression is Radio 2 - I do think we're a good few years off from that. If you'd asked me this time last year, I would have said we may never hear Moyles on the radio ever again. I genuinely thought we'd lost him. I'm more confident of him appearing on Radio 2 now as a result of his Radio X apperance. |

One thing is for sure - this isn't your textbook Global breakfast show is it? Actually, it's not your textbook commercial radio show. There's nothing else like it around, and I hope it's a runaway success.
