Janice.....ugh
It's common knowledge, at least in the US, that Janet has been a head case for MANY years, but now I just find her pathetic- a shell of her former self, really. Something happened in the past 2-3 years to that woman. I don't know if alzheimer's is setting in, but she has completely lost the plot. She has lost any shred of dignity she had left. I say this as a former fan of hers when she was a top model. She was exotic, gorgeous and fiesty...something different during her heyday. I won't even go into the tragedy of what she's done to her face. The first thing that gave me pause was when she stated in the beginning of the series that she wrote Gia, the movie. Erm, really?? Okaaaay. I already knew that her claim to the title of world's first supermodel was utter garbage (google it).
But on BB, her nonsensical, long-winded speeches and her utter cluelessness is just sad to watch. I no longer derive any entertainment by watching this doddering old woman. And she's only 60! My aunt is in her 90s and runs circles around Janice, mentally and physically. So yeah, just ugh. |

She's only 60????? Really. I'm 58 and see her as an old woman. Not sure that she isn't telling fibs about her age.

Janice has deteriorated greatly in the past couple of years if her current state of mind is anything to go by or she's putting on an act.

Are you trying to say that alzheimers is a undignified disease ? If so you might need to educare yourself.
- Actually, I am very familiar with alzheimer's and it is a disease which, by definition, robs millions of people of their dignity and autonomy. That's not even a question. If she does indeed have early onset, she should not be paraded before the general public as entertainment. I do not know first hand, obviously, but something is clearly "off". I am saying this as someone who recognizes certain signs, having dealt with close family members over the years. Just food for thought. |

I agree that something certainly seems off. I had wondered if Janice had a history of substance abuse which might have 'fried' her mind a bit. At other times I wonder if she is just a product of someone who has lived in a bubble for so long and been told what she wants to hear for so long that she has forgotten what is 'normal' The other thing that fascinates me is that she frequently moves like some one with severe osteoarthritis. Some of the time she seems stiff and movements seem to be difficult. Then she wraps her legs around her neck and proves that she is as bendy as an adolescent. She certainly is an enigma. |

Sorry Kitten I don't mean to put you on the spot but I am not sure I am interpreting you correctly. Are you saying that from your experience and watching Janice you think early onset Alzheimer's is a possibility?

I too can put both my legs around my neck (it's not a pretty sight believe me). I'm hypermobile but I do suffer from arthritis also, causing me all sorts of problems. So yes, Janice may be able to perform as if she were an adolescent at times, but that doesn't mean to say she isn't suffering from some form of arthritis. I've noticed that her hands look a tad arthritic, so who can tell and I'm two years older than Janice btw ![]()

Janice has severe rheumatoid arthritis and is probably in severe pain - that must affect her ability to think coherently at times. I like her and think she is sometimes very funny.

The pain makes you crazy sometimes...It does me, anyway. I haven't had an unbroken nights sleep for years. |

Maybe her wild, hedonistic younger days have finally caught up with her. She was the worlds first supermodel you know.

. It's just an observation....early Alzheimer's or dementia. She just seems very addled and not altogether "there". It's a sharp contrast to just a few years ago, when she was on another reality show I watched. She has always been loopy, but there is something more going on. Some people are convinced that it is an all an act, but if it is, I don't know what purpose it serves her. It certainly hasn't made her anymore likable, imho. But if she is suffering from some form of early dementia, well, I don't wish that on anyone, you know? Yes, even Janice .
