Thankfully James now appears to have lost this.

He's shown himself to be manipulative, tactical and a user.

I see his fans are now saying they have absolutely no problems with people being tactical as its a game.

Yet the very same people thought it absolutely fine to completely destroy Gail on here last week for crying saying 'she's playing a game and going for the sympathy vote'

At what point does it become ok to be a tactical game player?

When your a young, attractive male obviously.

Ill say it again

He has played his looks for the Gay and female vote and the rest with his fake mr Nice Guy act.

Those denying it saying he's genuinely a nice person possibly need to try and come up with another way to deflect the fact they only like him coz 'he's fit innit'

Natasha to win this now

He is playing his fans very well, many have bought into his carefully created martyr persona.

I'd have thought less of James if he'd stuck to a horrible creature like Austin to the end. That would have been a stupid move as he would have been doomed by association. He wants to win.
I also think he's genuinely disgusted by Austin's foul mouthed rants.

Austin was my initial favourite but hes slowly lost my support.hes more of a prima donna than Janice! James on the other hand is now my firm favourite.i see no constructed act just a nice grounded reasonable guy.

There's no doubt he uses his looks knowing it will garner him votes, but I believe he is genuine in his morality.

Austin is acting like an aggressive idiot spurred on by his U.S. team counterpart.

They are trying desperately to slur James, but he is confident in his morality (and looks.. ).

It is absolutely fine to be tactical and play the gamae but James made a show of making 'real' friendships that he is now betraying and what's worse, he makes stupid attempts at justifying his actions.

It's a gameshow.
He's doing all he can to win.

Kudos to him, I say.

Janice or Sherrie to win for me.

She got that warning for pretend spitting at Austin, she should have been removed, just shows what a lady she is.

How - exactly - has he "betrayed" him. I'd love to hear this in plain English.

James the deceiver - the vote for Janice was to make him look good and now the personal attack and nominating his best buddy because he knows he was in the top 4 and possibly could beat him to winning as he is another male with the gay vote as well!

I am disgusted with James for nominating Austin even though I am no big Austin fan!

Simple really, you don't nominate your best friend in the house because you have had a rough few days. You wait until you have both calmed down to see if you will both make up. Looking at the updates it seems James feels bad now, oh well maybe he should have picked more wisely.

Me too, and I'm a straight male who actually detested the bloke in The Apprentice.

I agree he does seem to be trying hard to make sure he comes across as fair, but then doesn't everyone? there's still a decent bloke under it I think, its not like he's hiding a monster!

By pretending to be his friend to give himself a storyline then stabbing him in the back at the end of the show by nominating him. James should have stuck by Austin despite his outbursts the way that Jenna stuck with Farrah even though the whole house hated her.

He has been his best buddy for nearly 4 weeks, well pretended to be! Then when he realises Austin is also in the top 4 and the only other good looking guy with the addition of the gay vote as well he nominated him. He already knows that Austin is volatile and got a temper because we have seen it with Farrah early on but he only chooses now to go against Austin and try playing the Mr nice guy by saving Janice when he knew Chloe would save her, which he said himself. So fake and dishonest you wouldn't believe!

Exactly, he has used Austin for his storyline from the beginning knowing that he was a nobody going into the house!

That's one way of looking at it.

Another way of seeing it is James being completely and utterly peed off with Austin for attacking his sense of morality which is clearly important to him.

That has undermined any friendship as James feels strongly about his values being attacked in such a way. In other words he feels Austin doesn't respect or believe him and that has soured what looked like a good friendship.

It may recover, but as Austin is in full on attack mode I wouldn't count on it.

To see this any other way to me is quite cynical. Like or dislike James, he has stood up for his own values and indeed for other people in there, whether that has made him popular or not.

I'd say that is a principled person at work.

Austin had been talking about James with Jenna behind his back...some friend.

That is hardly the same as nominating him though is it? Most people in their daily lives occasionally talk about each other but James has taken it a step further.

Austin deserved what he got...Austin was not only talking about James but over the last few days he has been really nasty to James.

Austin thinks he can do and say what he likes to people...but you must not do it back to him.

Would you have the same opinion of Gail or Natasha if they suddenly started 'playing the game'
