Paula Lane has revealed she thinks 'Coronation Street's upcoming live episode is it's "darkest" yet.

Paula Lane thinks 'Coronation Street's live episode is their "darkest" yet.

The 29-year-old actress - who plays Kylie Platt in the ITV soap - thinks the forthcoming special show is "quite scary" and very different to anything the programme has ever done.

She said: "It's really dark. I don't think 'Corrie' has ever had anything this dark.

"Over the course of a week, Callum goes on a vendetta, he wants to totally destroy the Platts. It's quite scary - I think 'Corrie' has pushed the boundaries."

With this and the supposedly violent scenes which Tina O'Brien and Sean Ward have been filming, I wonder if someone may die.

If Blackburn kills one of the Platts I will not be happy. He better not be planning another Carl King moment.

It seems a bit obvious for Callum to be killed and for them to cover it up/his body to end up in Gail's manhole.

Really not that excited to be honest.

Stuart Blackburn is obsessed by all things dark, grim and ishoo-led. Maybe EE is his bag!

I will be shocked if that doesn't happen

I still think Callum dying could be very dark. I can see him attacking Sarah and then Bethany creeping up and hitting him over the head with something and he dies. David and Kylie then return and they all cover it up and put his body in Gail's manhole.

I don't think your posts are useful as all you ever do is bash Corrie.

I get suspcious when things are described as really dark, because the end result is normally far from it. That or i am not easily shocked these days.

It's true though. I can't wait for those that bother tuning it giving the live episode a bashing.

I assumed Callum would die, until the actor said he wasn't going anywhere 'for the forseeable future'. I know that could be a double bluff - like ED's Ross in reverse - but if it's true, then I worry that one of the Platts may be killed off. SB did say the sl is very dark and will affect some residents for years to come, so even allowing for the normal hype, it must be something pretty serious I think.

I'm sure Sean Ward said on his twitter that he had signed a year's contract and that was at the beginning of the year, I know contracts can be broken but I still don't think he is going anywhere.

They might want a length of rope and a flashlight to hand...

If it were truly dark, Callum would kidnap or even kill Bethany and dump her body in the manhole, allowing her family to believe she'd run away and disappeared when in fact she is lying metres away from them!

Callum first appeared last October and has appeared regularly since last December so if that were the year contract it would be up around Christmas this year. Seems like he might not be getting killed off in the Live as first thought.

It'll be predictable as Corrie rarely shock or pull out any surprise twists. I reckon that Callum will be attempting to strangle Sarah when Bethany walks in and clobbers him over the head. He dies instantly, leaving both Sarah and Bethany panicked. Sarah knows that they need help deciding what to do next, so she calls David and Kylie round. They prove more of a hindrance than a help as they all start arguing, only to be interrupted by Tony, who spots Callum's lifeless body. He acts immediately by dumping the body into the manhole in the garage and covers it over.

How can that be when Callum doesn't leave until next year?

To be honest this is what I want to happen. Rather this than a Platt dying and then Callum still hanging around for a few months.

Maybe he's going to haunt them : a gaunt, galumping, ghastly gurning ghost.

As the platts are sitting having a lovely family dinner, a white sheet suddenly appears dancing around the room

Voice of Callum: Ooooh, Aren't I ghastly?
