Thinking back to the episode again, can anyone explain the geography of the road where Carol met the Saviours? She was heading in one direction (away from Alexandria, one assumes) when she met them. But when Rick and Morgan approach the scene, it's from the complete opposite direction, despite them seemingly having only just left Alexandria too. I know they had a chat about directions - hence the episode title "East", but that still didn't seem to join up.

Personally I don't like all these human enemies as it stops the show being about the walkers.”

the show has never been about the walkers

.
Exactly. It's a human drama first and foremost.

I assumed "The Walking Dead" referred to the living, therefore the show is about them.

Carol's car turned around 180 degrees when the tyre was shot, so was facing back towards Alexandria when Rick and Morgan drove up to it.

But, by all means, I love babies, and the actress Judith is adorable.”

Ah I see you were referring to some article that listed shows supposedly ruined by the appearence of babies. Judith's been there almost since the beginning and is more symbolic than actually having much effect. They seem to forget about her a lot of the time Funnily enough I'm not remotely a baby fan but can just see the importance of Judith in TWD setting

I personally preferred it when they were looking for a cure or for the authorities, it had more momentum.

Settling down somewhere and growing crops is not that exciting really, hence all the human antagonists I suppose.

Yes it is. I love the walkers but they are a background threat that everyone has to face and sometimes are even used as a weapon by the living.

I have considered the sheer amount of such nasty people surviving and being at every turn and I think it makes sense in TWD world. It's clear you have to be ruthless verging on psychopathic to just get by. No one survived just staying locked up in their house. You have to get out there, risk yourself and take things. The world almost lends itself to nasty / evil people surviving and being dominant.

I think for many just survival brings out the evilness IE the Terminus people and the Wolves. They've virtually all got PTSD or personality disorders of some sort brought on by the zombie apocalypse. It's just how bad and how far they will go. We've had a continual theme about our heroes and them getting bad and how bad will they become etc. Morgan is a constant reminder of an old Rick and the possibility of an alternative choice of behaviour.

So yes the show is almost entirely about the human survivors / survival.

Thanks, I still couldn't quite work out which direction the Saviours were heading. Towards Alexandria?

That's where they said they were going when questioning Carol and letting her know they knew about Alexandria and the car with the spikes that was parked near the front gate.

Not sure why they were going there in such small numbers unless to spy on them as they seem to have been doing. Dwight mentioned in the previous episode something to imply they'd been watching, "you've got such a nice place there" or something like that when saying they were going to use Eugene and the others to get access.

What I found confusing was one of the gang that Carol shot at hid in the bushes until Rick and Morgan had set off after Carol, yet Rick returned back to the car but didn't come across the guy.

Also, who was the guy at the farm who said he was looking for his horse and legged it? Rick thinks he was one of the saviours due to the forged spear from hilltop, so not from the group Carol shot at. There seems to be saviours all over the place now. Maybe they're all on small recon missions to find out as much about Alexandria and Rick's group as possible. Just like Rick should have done before rushing to attack the satelite place.

As Rick said "we didn't finish them" and Morgan said "no, you started something". It's going to bite them big time if this Negan lot aren't going to keep getting done over by Rick's group.

If it wasn't for the walkers then this would be another crime drama with car chases, drug dealing and women with fake hair, fake nails, fake tan and fake breasts.

That's why I don't like to mention a certain weapon used by a certain person

The way I see it the world is evolving and changing and with that the threat keeps changing. As the world gets harsher so does the threat and this new serious threat is the saviour.

I think my only issue at the moment is I'm not sure about Carol. I'm not sure when she's acting and what's real at the moment.

I do know that when I heard "I'm Negan" I may have let out a little bit of wee!

So did the chain-smoking woman who was part of the group of Saviours that were holding Carol and Maggie prisoner.

**Spoiler alert**

I've heard Negan and Rick fall in love and live happily ever after, after finding a medicine for zombieism that makes them all huggy.
