My English is not all that, so I dont know how good Andrew Lincoln's American accent is.
But I think he has started to speak more ... forced... in the last episodes. Like he has to really think about how he pronounces words.

Or is that just me hearing things? I think everyone else is very good. I know many of them are British.
Shame that not one of them could keep their accent. There has to be some English folks in the USA
"Thangs, Coral"

Never mind that, Maggies accent is all over the place.

double e: forgot Maggie is pregnant, she's safe
I don't think that makes her safe. If Game of Thrones can kill a pregnant woman, so can Walking Dead. It'd fit their agenda perfectly.

Of the main characters I wouldn't be too bothered if they killed off Eugene, Carl or Abraham. When Carl got his eye shot in last weeks episode I hoped that was the end for him so was gutted to see hes made a recovery.
I like Carl, and have done at least since the prison. He's still got a lot of growth and story left.

One minute the Alexandrian's are trying to get settled for the future and next they're going to war with a group that as yet doesn't even know they exist or where they are. Talk about reaping what you sow. Inevitable there will be deaths and for what? A few bits of grocery and to help a group they've only just met.
Although I agree, it's also clear they will have to deal with Negan sooner or later, and they might as well do it well-fed than waiting until they are even more hungry than they are. Which is very hungry, apparently: they really need those groceries.

The part that seemed most wrong to me was promising to rescue the hostage alive. Even if they beat Negan, it's almost impossible to guarantee someone won't dispatch the hostage at the first sign of trouble. Taking payment in advance also seemed wrong. And taking 50%: that makes them hardly better than Negan. If I'd been them I'd have taken 50% but then returned some of it in a show of generosity.

I thought they were foolish to leave the van stuck in mud while they went into Hilltop. Had it turned sour, they might have needed a fast getaway. Just another of Rick's bad decisions.

I do wonder if Maggie will have the baby. Two babies on the show. Having Judith already ticks that box.

Anyone hoping they don't give tv Negan a backstory of his life leaving it up to all of us to decide for our imagination to why he's a bad guy.

I really hope Maggie dies or loses the baby. I find Judith distracting. Each time I see her, I am reminded that she would never have survived the ordeal she has been through.

Babies and toddlers need so much beside the basic food and shelter.

And one thing babies and toddlers are not good at, is being quiet and being still.

I should know, I have five of them

Where does Alexandria get water supply and electricity for 55 people?
And what about all the human waste?

It was designed as a sustainable town, so leccy comes from the solar panels all over the place, water may be from a well or the aquifer and sewage will be via septic tanks.

...or maybe sanitary trebuchets.

However, with Jessie now dead, there is no longer any poorly made sculptural metalwork to use as public art, so it's not all rosy in there.

...t's pretty much inevitable that either later this season (or more likely next season) they'll be a Negan centric episode.

Yeah they could do I suppose. I definitely feel like there's something major brewing with this baby thing, especially after the last epsiode with them passing the sonogram around and seeing how happy it made them all. Who knows, maybe they'll even finally kill off Darryl by having him sacrifice himself to save Maggie+baby or something.

(disclaimer, yes I've been spoiled about what happens in the comics, I'm not sure they'll go that way though)

The actress who plays her has lived in Britain and the USA so she sounds a little odd and mid-atlantic anyway.

Have we had any zombie babies yet?

You often get them in zombie movies.

If they want to go really dark they'll have Maggie's baby die in the womb and eat its way out, Alien style.

Whatever they do they'll not top the zombaby in Z Nation.

Looking at the scan, I thought it was an alien.

I need some killing. Someone important. It has been far too long since they killed off someone from the main cast.

I still miss Andrea.. And Shane.

Well there will be killing you can bet on it.

There's expendable characters that could go but would have little impact:
Tara, Rosita, Eugene, Gabriel, Aaron Spencer
I think Tara is most likely to go and may give Rosita more to do as I feel like they split the opportunity and only one is needed
I guess we saw Gabriel and Eugene step up and it's whether there's room for them to do any more than they have.
Not much has been done with Aaron and Spencer so if we're looking at heavy kill, I'd say they'd go but their deaths would be 'meh'.

Jesus - I think he'll be a key character, almost a replacement for who goes this series

Morgan - Could go and the fact he doesn't want to kill could be a reason he's a goner as it's been set up. I'd be sad if he did as I think there's room to see a lot more from Morgan.

Sasha - Could go but think she's safe but if a few guys go, it'll be a female heavy cast
, so after Tara she's the most likely female.

Abraham - After last week I think he's a goner

Carol - would be a brave move as she's an original but not sure this would be the storyline for her to go. I see one of the group having to kill Carol (Rick) if she unravels more.

Michonne - I think she's safe until Danai wants to leave

Carl - Again I think he's another safe character

Maggie - I'm split on. When I saw Lauren cut her hair I thought Maggie is definitely gone but I think they're building her part to be co leader after last week, plus I think she'll lose the baby after...

Glen - He's been made to be indestructible so this has to be the season he goes, plus the fact he and Maggie could be happy with the sprog on the way so he'll be high impact and is an original.

Daryl - would be HUGE. I wonder if Daryl has run out of steam a bit but Negan needs to kill big and I think killing Daryl would cement Negan as the biggest threat we've seen .

Rick - I could only see it if Andy wants to leave. If Rick was to die then they need Daryl to head up the show, so I really can't see anyone else going if Rick was to go as they would need very single cast member to cover the loss of the main, original character.

I need to stop speculating! But if anyone wants to DM me and speculate then that's cool!

I was surprised there was still that many people in Alexandria. Watching season 5 again now where Deanna has called the meeting about Rick and there aren't that many people there and that was before the invasion!

I thought it was a bit surprising that they were heading off to an unknown destination which they were concerned could be a trap........armed to the teeth ..........yet they take a pregnant woman and leave Psycho Carol, the killing machine, back at home

And Rick wanted to take one-eyed Carl as well.......

Maybe they're going back to Alexandria to take home the groceries first, and change team members for the mission.

Or they could be going straight on mission and use the groceries as a way in.

As for the plan I don't think it needs to be elaborate:

Sasha. Sniper rifle. Bullet to Negan's head. Dictatorship fails. Why complicate things, Rick?
