His brother was killed in an RTA I think he said so unless his mother was driving and at fault I shouldn't think she was involved in his death.

My husband said that too.

I didn't get that from the conversation but ....maybe she was driving the car that he was killed in (I think he died in an accident) - perhaps it was a driving offence.

I don't know - anyone else?

I particularly like the way the articles refer to him : "a former reality TV character." Not a "star" and not a "celebrity." And "former." Lol.

He's clearly dealing with a lot. It's a shame that some people here don't really often consider the human aspect of it. Austin by his own admission has been a complete ass to many people but sometimes pain makes us like that. On here people just see them as a character to be called "vile" or "bully" or "scum" depending on whatever latest highlight package they've seen.

It's one of the most disappointing things about the age of forums and social media, it's the dehumanisation of people and the rush to label everyone something or other based on selective highlights of a television show, as if they're all characters.

Yes Austin as an aggressive d*ckhead this evening but the man was in the diary room getting upset about pent-up pain in regards to his mother going to prison and his brother dying, and you come on here and see people insinuating that he was making it all up, that he wasn't upset or hurt at all. It really is unbelievable how some people lack any kind of empathy with human emotion.

I wonder how long Austin thinks he can use his family's misfortunes as an excuse for his own unpleasantness...

If that's the case maybe he shouldn't be on Big Brother and seeking help for he's anger issues

Really? My dad died in 1979, it still bothers me. (Not that I get like Austin mind you - but obv, some people do)

ETA - and I absolutely think he should have apologised.

I really felt for him when he was talking about his mother, I never for one minute thought there was anything false about any of the raw emotion he was showing. He is obviously in pain.

I still don't think that it's right to take your own personal pain out on others though, even though that can be hard to control when you are hurting. He seems to be putting a lot of his feelings for his mother, or about his mother, onto Janice. Sure she must be really difficult to live with, but tonight he really said some unnecessary things to her - and the bad mother thing must be to do with his own experience with his mother rather than knowing whether Janice is or isn't a good mother.

Makes it worse as the money she nicked she paid of Austins credit cards.

I see from reading that that, as usual, Austin was only concernd about himself, so much for crying about his mother going to prison then hey.

It could be I suppose but it would be a harsh legal system that locked up a woman for accidentally or even negligently killing her own child. You would expect a suspended sentence in those circumstances wouldn't you? On the grounds that she has buried her child, the ultimate price and no further punishment can serve any purpose you wouldn't think imprisoning her would be in the public interest.

If I treated people in the same manner Austin is treating people every time something awful had happened in my life, I may as well go and sit on a deserted island, because no one would want to know me.

I think, with CBB, it's more a case of being invited rather than applying. It's income for them.
