Rubbish...James knows that Austin will most probably not go.

I've heard it all now.

I noticed that when Austin came out of the diary room in a mess Bobby did the right thing there, and I was never his fan. Then Sherrie and Natasha showed some compassion as well.

But James? No expression on his face. Still reeling out the predictable and cold salesman spiel about understanding Austin. Going by what darkness Austin was getting into in the diary room I very much doubt that James understands.

"Just like me' little old Grand Dad told me when we were catching carp down at t' river... he said James's.. sometimes you have to nominate your best friends in life for their own good"

I'm pretty sure James nominated Austin because he is sick to death of his bloody drama

I was almost choking on his magnanimity. He truly is the saint we didn't know we needed but it's ok, he'll tend to us and our sins as soon as he's finished biting off some bloke's ear down the pub.

He is being diplomatic in saying this but we got there in the end. What he really meant was that he nominated Austin because "he deserved it".

And he did. So what's the problem?

Who really gives a **** whether there's an ulterior motive? He liked him last week. Now Austin is acting like a prick and he doesn't like him anymore. It's as simple as that. And, if that isn't the reason, I couldn't care less. If his nomination helps to get rid of such a nasty piece of work, I'm happy enough.

If I was to ever act like Austin does, I would hope my friends told me straight.

Yes, which is what James said in his nomination. James has tried to speak to Austin about his behaviour for some time now, Austin has not listened to James instead Austin listened to Jenna. That has been Austin's mistake.

If I was Austin I'd find it hard to resist the temptation to say to James during one of his 'Big I am' speeches if he'd prefer it if I left the room so he could talk directly to the camera himself.

I can't remember the last time a housemate had so many conversations that sounded like contrived, prepared speeches, made directly to the viewing public rather than the person he's actually talking to.

Everything is an Apprentice-style board room pitch. It's so transparent.

James felt nothing for Austin when he saw him breaking down, even Natasha showed some compassion but James just sat there. He has used him and won't even care if he leaves tomorrow night as that means some of the competition is gone.

Exactly, because all James can do is give him one of those "I did it for your own good, because I'm a nice bloke me. Me, me, me." speeches. He doesn't give two craps about Austin, he nominated him because he calculated that the public would have taken a turn against him. Same as he saved Janice because he thought the public would view him in a good light for doing so.

It's such a shame, as I thought the 'bromance' was genuine. I think it was for Austin and Austin alone.

Someone said he was a Northern Patrick Bateman yesterday or the day before. It's funny because it's true (though also slightly scary)

Exactly. It is the voting public that decides.

James wants Austin out as wants to win. He would steamroller over anyone to get what he wants. He has played Austin and if such a good friend would not have nominated him. Really liked James but have worked with people like him, they use you for their gain then stab you in the back. my opinion only

I love James, but I don't really think he could have nominated Austin for his own good.

If he had known that noms had been shown, or it was face to face nominations, then I could understand it. Or like Austin said, had actually told him he had nominated him.

But, the only thing that was gonna happen was that Austin could have been evicted on Tuesday and he would have gone out and seen James nominate him.

Some of James' decisions, or at least the reasoning, aren't half a load of tripe! He really needs to work on his sales technique, bless him.

It you recall Austin had just insulted him. He was not going to run up and give him hugs and kisses. To say James felt nothing is to misread the situation.

It was something between getting fed up with Austin's childish needy egotism, and seeing if he could find it within himself to forgive him.

I have no idea if Bobby was being genuine or not when he comforted Austin, my understanding is that it was genuine, but Bobby or Natasha did not have the same emotional engagement with the situation as James. It was just another row to them.

Glad I was not the only one that saw that look, Can't believe the public are going to make him this year's winner by buying his crap.

He's right, but he should have said, "I nominated you because you have been a piece of s***"

If my friend had treated people like that, I'm sorry, they're not my friend. Loyalty goes out the window. If my friend corners someone and does something to someone, I am done with them.
