austin's misogny
the blatant use of the c word against an elderly woman made for uncomfortable viewing, but austin has been misogynistic from the start ever since he attacked Farrah for no reason upon entering the house. he needs to attack some of the slimy males such as James and Bobby, Janice and Farrah were actually quite independent women who were ultimately detached from the going ones of the house so its strange they provoked such ill-feelings in him. also, why the **** does Jenna constantly get out of jail free card?

I don't care how old Janice is, but his verbal assault was a disgrace.
He needs to get some self control sorted out ASAP. |

It was vile but....
what has Janice's gender got to do with it. The word can be equally used for men and women. In fact, I think bringing gender into it is itself sexist. |

Using the word **** against a woman is a highly volatile word. He used it because he knew it would cause her the most pain.

I tend to agree with this. I loathe the view that poor defenseless, ickle women deserve to be protected from profanity and vulgarity.

You don't know that he's only speaking to poor ickle, defenseless women like that (Janice is a ball buster of the highest order, you dismissing her as 'elderly' is more offensive than anything Austin has said), unless you have access to a live feed you'd care to share with the rest of us plebs. |

He's very misogynistic and I agree with the OP it's been apparent from pretty much the start.

Janice has already called HMs the 'c' word but of course she is allowed because she is a woman

What's the big deal about that word anyway? I didn't like the way he spoke to her but it's only a word. It was his aggression towards her that I disliked.

So just because he doesn't like Janice (a lot of people don't) that somehow means he has an irrational hatred of all women? Ridiculous

Indeed. I found the use of motherhood as a weapon against 2 women in quick succession much more hateful.

He called James a bitch and who knows what else?

Haha stole my thunder! I was wondering how the OP knows EVERY word Austin has said these last weeks. Plus there is a wiff of sexism in here, and thought of Janice of all people to need white knighting, is laughable! |

He is obviously misogynistic. Not surprised most people here are ignoring it though.

Why is calling Janice elderly offensive? She is elderly. I don't understand - It's a fact.
To me 60 is not elderly but when I was 20 I probably thought it was elderly. If you are 85 its quite young!

The most offensive and hurtful thing he said was calling question on her being a mother. That was low. Call a woman a **** as much as you want but questioning her motherhood is a whole new area. Austin is the c*unt here, no doubt about it in my mind. And, according to his own rationale, his own mother has a lot to answer for. But hey, he wouldn't see that would he?

Didn't Omarosa do that on the Surreal Life also, question her mother abilities, he no doubt knows that, it was a big reality thing in the US about 10 years ago.
I must say the c-word being put on a pedestal as the worst word ever always seemed odd to me, when male genitalia is thrown about as an insult and nobody cares. |
