I predict around 4-6 million viewers. Tonight was rubbish, nobody cares for the laughable Callum plot. ITV probably hope this will pull in the ratings but it won't.

And they can stop showing off that embarrassing trailer, that will just put people off further.

Corrie is going down the drain. I hope Kate will have some better ideas when he takes over in the New Year.

Last Monday's ep was over 7m. Tonights will be 7.5m+ and the live ep will be even higher. Another one of your threads fails.

It will never be high as EastEnders 30th Anniversary Special.

The only reason the figures may go up as people will want to watch it fail and laugh at it. Nothing more nothing less. Whereas with EastEnders they got high ratings because it was interesting and gripping.

It's against Bake Off for God's sake. ITV couldn't have chosen a worse day if they tried.

People who manage to criticise things they don't watch are a rare breed.

You post more than me, so I don't think you of all people should tell me that.

they could of put it on tomorrow 7-8 and ED hr long on Wednesday.

I am sure that the corrie live would then batter the EE ratings. going up against bake off is a bad move.

that been said I think overnights will be 8-8.5 m

You said you didn't watch it any more.

The ability to predict the future could be a really wonderful gift - or it could be that it doesn't exist judging by the number of times the end of the world has been predicted.

I'd rather wait and see how the live episode goes before commenting on it.

How many different threads for the exact same thing are you going to make? It's unnecessary

I don't like Eastenders that much, if I eat onto Eastenders thread, and lambasted it, I would be seen as a troll.

Can't see why so many are made welcome to troll Corrie, If you don't like just don't watch it.

Apart from him basically sounding like he's mouthing off just because he can and because he wants Corrie to fail, I find the most ridiculous aspect of his opening post being that he claims Kate Oates is a man!

To quote: Corrie is going down the drain. I hope Kate will have some better ideas when he takes over in the New Year.

Just imagine what you might have achieved if you'd channelled all the energy you've exhausted on creating anti-Corrie threads today into something useful.

You said it will fail - in order to fail, the ratings will have to be low. You can't shift the goalposts and say that if it gets decent ratings, it's because people will be tuning in to watch it fail. That makes no sense because if it gets decent ratings, it will have succeeded, regardless of the reason for people tuning in.

You also can't really compare a live ep to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of a soap to this, which is less about the soap and more about the TV channel celebrating an anniversary.

A final point - the live ep thing actually started with Corrie doing a live ep, then the other soaps followed suit. The reason Corrie did a live ep initially was to replicate how eps used to be filmed (i.e. live or as live) back at the start. It was a clever idea, but now it's being done by all the soaps and has been done to death a bit.

A live episode is very exciting to look forward to, and a lot of hard work must be put in to it, but I think Corrie have made a mistake by using the Callum story for it; he has become a joke character so it will be difficult to take the episode seriously. .
