Yes. The way I see it, James is friendly with everyone in the house. Who are the two housemates that have caused him grief?? Austin and Jenna. That's why he nominated them. Simple.
Yep agreed. He never said he was best mates with them anyway. Never. They kept pushing him to say this, went on and on about "loyalty". Controlling and deluded. James is a true winner in my eyes.

Telling a friend when they are in the wrong is one thing betraying them is something else
Not for me. If my friend ended up being as disgusting as Austin has been, I'd drop them. I had a friend who got into a huge fight with a female and was very disrespectful calling her a w****. I'm no longer friends with that person.

Yes, the truth hurts sometimes, I would rather have a mate who told me I was being a prat than one that didn't.

Yes absolutely. I have no time for people who keep me in the dark and feed me bullshit. Plenty of that in work etc.

Far too disloyal. If that's the kind of treatment he gives his best friends then god help his enemies.
Disloyal ?????? Austin is NOT his best friend. He doesn't even know him.

I know. This is beginning to drive me mad. Everyone projecting this BFF thing on them. Says who? They didn't even know each other 4 weeks ago. They have got on but that doesn't make them best friends. They like each other. That's doesn't make them best friends either. If anything they are more like work colleagues. They are both in a place working together on a short term contract.

Not if seeing my erect penis was part of the deal
Well not being friends with him isn't going to stop you seeing it either.

Had to laugh at the end of the episode when Austin comes out of the diary room sobbing and Bobby gets up to comfort him, Natasha apologises to him for shouting, Sherry puts her arm around him, and James, his 'best mate' (remember the chat he had with Austin after Austin shaved his head?) just sits there silently.

Then, when it's a bit more silent, still sitting back, he smugly begins another of his sermons.

Maybe James has just lost this, ok I know they have not known each other a lifetime, but loyalty in that house seems a premium, and even short term friends should have each other's back

Actually he did at the end of his nomination.

To answer the OP. No.

I do hope that James can't win, for the simple reason that he has played a very shallow game. You are right in that loyalty is a premium and James should have stood by Austin, and as a friend he should have been more understanding with Austin

Someone who tells me when im wrong, yes.

Perfect trait as a friend is someone who tells me when im doing something wrong.
But he didn't just tell Austin he was wrong and it means he could go home on Friday! So you think that's being a good friend do you, somebody who stabs you in the back and doesn't give a damn!

James has told Austin he was wrong 7 times in the last week. Have you not been watching? He's warned him multiple times but Austin kept targeting people.

There's James with the 2 people he'd most like to be evicted....
Why isn't he with Janice and Chloe. The ones he's saved....

Seven times? Really i thought it was more, he's a very sanctimonious
little man isn't he, tells him off, then man tubs and shares a bed and tells him what a good mate he is.

There is a vast difference between telling someone that they are wrong and then betraying by nominating them, and lets face in the CBB/BB situation it is seen as a betrayal. James has been disloyal to Austin as far as I can see

Someone who pulls me up when I'm being an arse? Yep.

But looks at me dispassionately and doesn't move a muscle when I'm baring my tortured soul and sobbing my eyes out? No thanks.

With friends like James....etc etc.

This precisely. Jenna and Farrah would and never did nominate each other, neither did Sherrie and Natasha. The other 2 serious friendships that developed in the house.

Lol, no, I don't need "friends" who are quite happy to throw me under a bus and then patronize me by saying it was for my own good. James was a snake on The Apprentice, now on BB? He's just a slightly more clever snake.
