Oh come on! This James is only helping Austin by nominating him just before the final narrative is absurd. I am genuinely shocked if you believe this.

I do get the impression James would climb over corpses to get to the top.

BUT...

I am prepared to accept there was *degree* of straight talking honesty to some of what he said... Because for all this talk of 'bromances' he was correct to point out that this hadn't come out of the blue and wasn't light years away from all the conversations he's been having to Austins face for at least the past fortnight. Over and over again he'd been sat down with him urging him to stop being aggressive, calling him a dick, having full on blow out arguments with him and repeatedly and openly defending the targets of Austinss attacks to him.

It was mercenary nominating him to be sure, though not what I'd consider two-faced.

Plus he has a Grandad you know? Did you know that?

I thought I would but he has badly let himself down with the Austin situation. He should not have nominated him for the reasons he gave. Weak!!!

SO no, I like to be able to trust my friends!

James had heard all that before. Austin said he'd bared his soul to James when James told him they weren't best friends - as a reason why James should therefore be his best friend. I would imagine that James had already done the "there, there" pat on the back scene more than once with Austin. So all this baby crying act was just that. A feel sorry for me now, as it's all you lot that pushed me to the brink act.

I would LOVE James as a friend.

I think friends who stay loyal regardless of whether you're right or wrong aren't good friends at all.
if I was behaving like a dick, or treating someone badly, I would fully expect my greatest closest friends to give me a bloody good talking to.

I know this is DS and filled with distorted opinions but I don't see why anyone has so much as a second of hate for James. He's done nothing but speak truly and honestly.

Jeez, if I were in there I would have said exactly the same things to Austin. And would that make me shallow or a backstabber or untrue?

Actually, the answer is NO!
