If there is one thing in this world to make me have unkind thoughts, it's that twozzock. Dr. Dance my aunt Fanny, the man is a total fool lol.
![]() He then studied for a degree in English and psychology. For an illiterate school leaver that is already quite an achievement. He then did an MSc and a PhD. He is now Reader and Principal lecturer at, I think, Hertfordshire Uni. Here he does his real work such as researching how dance can help people with Parkinson's with mood and mobility etc. |

I love him. I think he's great and behind the dance that may distract you from his analysis, his analysis is usually spot on.

Actually to be fair on the man he isn't. He is a bona-fide Dr of Psychology. He left school unable to read and write having experienced cognitive problems. He became a professional dancer. Then in his 20's he taught himself to read using dance patterns rhythm etc to help him.

Maybe so Anth. He's achieved a lot by what you say, so kudos to him. But I still think he's embarrassing to watch.

As you might have guessed I am a fan. Not of his BBOTS appearances they are just a bit of daftness. But I have heard him speak as a Psychologist and he was informative and entertaining.

Thanks for the information. I will take more notice of him next time he's on the show.

Dance is my passion, so I guess it's the BIB I find annoying. My problem with that I know, but there you have it.
![]() I think of it this way BlueStreak. A slightly pudgy looking guy turns up on TV dancing. Hopefully it will help to undermine the idea that dancing is only for beautiful young people/men with immaculate abs. And from there perhaps more men will give it a go and that way I/Ladies in general get more partners! ![]() Quote:
I'm just abit shocked as you can't take him seriously on BBOTS.
Thanks for the information. I will take more notice of him next time he's on the show. ![]() My hunch is that someone up there * I think had it right. I suspect his appearances are about research funding. Not so much the fee ( although that will be welcome no doubt) but to bring focus on him and the department so they are commissioned for research projects.

![]() Yes, I take your point Anth and I totally understand it. But having spent thirty years, give or take a week or two involved in dance and the theatre, I suppose I'm so passionate about it that anyone I see possibly being silly (as I view it) makes me despair. Now you know why I can put my legs around my neck.......just wanted to throw that out there again ![]() Seeing him fanny around (pardon me) could have an adverse effect on some men. If they think he looks foolish it may put them off thinking they will look as silly as he does imo. Like I say, it's probably me getting protective of something that I've been so passionate about for many many years. I shouldn't be so judgemental I know. It's probably unkind of me to say what I did about him, but well ya know lol.

![]() Well I don't know if I would encourage anyone to pin too much on his BBBOTS analysis. My hunch is that someone up there * I think had it right. I know what you mean. In later life/middle age men especially look a bit incongruous dancing. But that's part of what I like about him. As an amateur dancer and part-time dance teacher myself I am also quite evangelistic about dance. So I like to see people who don't quite look like dancers dancing on TV in the hope that it will inspire all ages, all shapes and all sizes to discover such a life affirming (as I see it) activity.
People are too worried about how they look these days and daren't have fun in case they don't look cool. |

Love him too. Really enjoy it when he's on BOTS. He has such a great sense of rhythm and fun, as well as great insights.
