The real reason James nominated Austin..
I believe is because more and more he doesn't really regard him as a friend and doesn't like his negativity.
Sometimes it is the people closest to you that affect you the most and upset your experience. Austin is very taken with James and yes, in the house they probably gravitate towards each other because of this and because they have good banter. But as they have spent more time with each other James has seen qualities that he doesn't like in Austin. In addition to this Austin continually puts him in situations that he doesn't like. Grilling him every time he doesn't share the same opinion as him and getting his side kick to put him in a corner with her 'answer the question James'. Then today asking James to do his negative work on his behalf and speak to Chloe and/or take Janice's hanger. That has got to be draining especially where if you don't do it, you get accused of being a bad friend. I just dont think that James regards Austin in the same way he regards him but it's too late because they have been established as being 'best friends'. Hence why he admitted that after 3 weeks they couldn't really say they knew each other. Austin is probably often a cloud over his head. Also I don't think James is bothered by Janice doing silly things because he has a different expectation of her as a crazy, eccentric lady and in any case she is not really in his crew so her antics don't effect him and he can look at them from a distant. |

I think James does like Austin.
He nominated Austin for being a knob. Simple. Him and Jenna the only 2 people who have rowed with him. |

I think Farrah would disagree with that.

James likes or doesn't like whatever he believes the voting public likes or doesn't like. Jenna and Austin may express themselves in an utterly obnoxious way, but I don't disagree with what they're saying about James.

I don't agree, I think he nominated Austin because he's competition and he's frightened that Austin will win or at least split their votes! I don't think James is genuine of his friendship of Austin at all and has used him as a storyline to further himself to the final and now he's there he doesn't need him anymore. I think James is cold, calculating and ruthless and is no different to when he was on the Apprentice just much more slyer!

I don't agree. I don't think James thinks Austin is competition, because he's not. Not in a UK CBB with the theme of UK v USA. Not when James has been working hard to seem reasonable and Austin is going around calling women knuts. No chance. He needed to distance himself from Austin's behaviour, and has done so bit by bit. The last American standing will be Janice, so he's with her.

This didn't come out of the blue either. As you say, we can all see the pressure Austin has been putting James under. This has been building for sometime. |

I think it might be simply that he is his direct competition for the make eye candy vote. I haven't seen any real personal feelings from James

He couldn't nominate stevie and Chloe because of saving Janice for Chloe So that left him with Bobby, Natasha, Austin, sherrie and Jenna He can't nominate three of them cause they are on his team UK so that left the two he nominated Jenna and Austin! |

James hasn't got a genuine bone In His self satisfied arrogant patronising body. He nominated Austin because he is his only real threat to win. The man wouldn't know what loyalty was if it smacked him in his smug face.
Nominated for his own good my arse |

I don't think James nominated him because he's competition. I think he did it because Austin is getting on his nerves. Tbf to James, he did suggest to Austin the other day that he doesn't consider them as close as Austin does. He was giving Austin a heads up not to expect too much from him.
His response to Austin's tears last night was really telling though....he was completely unmoved. Maybe he's just reached the end of the road, I dunno, but I do wonder if James is a fair weather friend. One of those who'll scarper at the first sign of trouble or anything 'heavy'. And I'm wondering now if all his psycho-analysing of Farrah and trying to understand her was an attempt to convince us that he's deeper and more compassionate than he actually is. Because he wasn't compassionate with Austin last night, and he sounded really phoney when he was giving him that pep talk after Bobby and Natasha's genuine shows of concern. But James must surely know that nominating a friend in Big Brother is treachery? So if he's playing a ruthless elimination game rather than just going with the way he feels, which is pissed off, he might have screwed it up for himself. That's one reason why it might not be tactical, cos it's dumb tactics...although tbf, he isn't that bright, e.g. saving Janice might have rid him of Farrah but it raised red flags for lots of viewers. |

I'm in the minority but I agree with James nomination of Austin and I do really think he found it hard to nominate his best mate. I definitely think James is not playing a game and also be wise of the fallout from this I predict he will be one of the first ones out on Thursday then I still think he made the right decision.
But with that I was so pleased they were still friends on live feed yesterday because I really them |
