We should all take lessons from Janice in how to get what you want.

First she nobley refuses to have her letter read out and it goes in the bin. Then Chloe-Jasmine retrieves it. Does she tear it up? No she goes to the diary room and says I'll tear it up but what do you think Big Brother?

You can read it to me if you want says Big brother.

Oh all right then Big Brother says Janice.

Nuff said!

Well said, pretty much what I thought. I really hope she's evicted before the final.

What happened to "I can't do it"?

Obviously she brought it to the diary room to read it. Otherwise why didn't she just leave it in the bin?

Janice had every right to read her letter as she was entitled to. She didn't ask Chloe to retrieve the letter from the bin but she did. In any case she was right to take it to the diaryroom and BB was right to let her read it. After watching Austins disgusting tirade tonight towards Janice I don't blame her for reading it in the diary room.

I think Austin is part of a generation that shows no respect towards elderly people and I will go further he has no respect for women period! It doesn't matter what they say he doesn't listen, screams and shouts in your face and thinks he is always right. Crying in the diary room about having issues with his mother and dead brother is no excuse to what he said to Janice and should be removed from the house! That is my opinion and I hope he is evicted on tuesday and Janice gets to stay.

Absolutely agree. She doesn't owe that pity party a darn thing. He spoke to her like she was utter garbage tonight. I'm glad he didn't get his letter, he didn't deserve it. As for Janice, I hope she gets to stay too, and that entitled maniac gets the boot.

She didn't want to share the moment with the others. She wanted her time in the Diary Room.

Why didn't she throw it in the volcano the same as she did with Austin's?

It was pretty obvious when Janice put the letter in the bin and not where Austin's went that it was going to surface and be read at some point

She didn't need much persuading. There was a glimpse of the letter and it filled the whole page, maybe it was the next day's script! She got over her emotion, complete with strategic catches in her voice, very quickly and started criticising Sherrie. A masterclass in manipulation.

Haha brilliance! I haven't seen last nights episode but this doesn't surprise me one bit. When people were saying how vile Austin was to Janice yesterday I couldn't judge as I hadn't yet watched (I watch a day late on catchup) but now I've seen it I can understand that it makes difficult viewing but I can totally see through Janice and can understand his frustration, that said, it makes interesting viewing.

I think she wrote the letter herself she seemed to be saying the words without actually looking at the letter

Janice had every right to read her letter, but in my opinion she should have either stuck to her principals and ripped it up, or read it openly instead of sneaking off to the diary room.

Come on Janice is a fruit cake. People give her way too much credit for her gameplaying. She's batty and she doesn't behave like your normal person. Besides after Austin's tirade/s she had every right to read the letter.

I liked the way she read the letter, said it was 'very nice' and then immediately cast it aside without a backwards glance. It was very dismissive. You would have thought she would have hugged it to her or something, but she just threw it to one side like a discarded tissue.

But she's only very recently become this batty. I know 80 year olds who are more together than her.

Yeah but they probably haven't lived through what she has.

I did wonder why Janice just crumpled up the letter instead of putting it where she put Austin's letter. She just showed how fake she is by opening the letter and reading it in the Diary Room. I could have laughed when she asked Big Brother what she should do with it...like he would have told her to destroy it. Sigh... It would be fantastic if the other housemates were to somehow find out about Janice's fakeness when it came to the letter. I suppose the only way they could show it would be if she broke the rules and they showed it as a punishment. I don't think Janice breaks the rules though....does she?

We know she's nuts (probably literally) and the whole thing was just ridiculous.

I actually don't think a genuine word or deed has come from Janice in four weeks. In fact, I wonder if she knows what's genuine or not.

people keep saying shes a elderly woman but shes just 60 Sheree is in fact five years older. Also whilst Austin shouldn't have gone off so crazily she herself called someone the C word last week so if its wrong for Austin to say it it should have been wrong for her too. I think shes playing a damn good and cant believe so many believe her crap tbh

I've been rooting for Janice but that letter thing was a masterclass in manipulation.

She's been getting away with stuff with me because she's so obviously a practiced drama queen that knows how to put on a show, a caricature with bits of Lauren Bacall, Bette Midler, Joan Rivers and any number of 2D movie divas thrown in, but backtracking on her 'principled' stance over the letter, taking it to the diary room ostensibly to get rid of it then caving in immediately was a bit shady IMO. I now don't know if she DOES just do everything for our entertainment, which is what I'd assumed, or if she is genuinely a selfish manipulative person.
