I am disgusted with Austin and hope he has the decency to apologise to Janice, his comments were deplorable and also outside the game and personal! I don't expect Janice to accept his apology either because it was over the top and not what she signed up for!

Austin did apologise and Janice said it did not matter as she never heard most of it....and it was done in a fun way...both Austin and Janice were laughing together.

They have both moved on.

He's a very damaged guy and reading about his somewhat unconventional childhood im not entirely surprised. the sad thing is he just wants to be loved and accepted but he's channeling it in completely the wrong way .we don't know but he may have borderline personality disorder .I wouldn't be at all surprised. agree he needs help but as I said in a thread earlier I cant believe BB didn't remove him for his behaviour.he nade farah look like a saint .

I really hope so, but last nights show really was the pits with Austin shouting down a 60 year old lady who went to bed because she didn't want to hear any more of his putrid vile, she has feelings you know!

Just shows she is a strong woman to move on after that!

Then Austin should have received a formal warning, like other non-speciall HMs.

And he shouldn't be getting more understanding / sympathy / explaining-away than other non-special HMs either.

But so long as he continues to be treated differently, it will continue to seem that he's being seen as a special case who shouldn't be seen as other HMs have been.

Quote:
“And I've seen just as many comments like yours, slating Austin, as I have ones being more understanding and still supporting him. I don't think anyone has made an excuse for him, more that they can understand where his emotions and anger comes from. For me personally, as an Austin supporter, I despise the use of the C word, and I think his tirade at Janice wasn't necessary. But I can see why he dislikes her so much.”

Why would it matter if there are just as many comments slating Austin? That wouldn't mean the posts explaining, justifying, excusing, etc don't exist, or that they aren't wrong, or even that Austin isn't being given a lot more sympathy and understanding than other HMs have been.

There are plenty of excuses being made for Austin. There are many posts that at most pay only brief lip service to the idea that he did anything wrong and spend most of their time explaining, sympathising, and understanding as if he wasn't really responsible for his own behaviour and it could instead be explained as a result of difficult things in his life, Janice's provocations, etc, etc.

But none of that (even if it turns out to be true) means that he shouldn't have received a final, formal warning. He should have been warned, and it's outrageous that he wasn't.

What was "done in a fun way"? Not his foul-mouthed ranting that got him called to the DR.

In a fun way ??? Are you kidding ???

Janice may have put it behind her, he may have apologised and they may have later laughed about it but it certainly wasn't said or done in 'fun'. It doesn't matter that she never heard most of it. The way he spoke to and about her (and has done throughout the series) was disgusting. Yes she can be a pain in the arse and probably isn't the easiest person the live with but he went way over the line there.
We can all apologise after the event but it doesn't take it back, nor does his 'issues' excuse it.

They didn't mean that the argument was done in a fun way. They meant the apology was. Which is it Janice made me laugh during it.

Thanks.

I don't think a fun apology is appropriate, though.

It was not a fun apology from Austin he was sincere....Janice turned it into fun in a nice way.
